BOARD DIRECTION (Sept. 8 Public Hearing)

Direct staff to prepare language that clarifies the intent of the Board as expressed at the Sept. 8 Public Hearing:

1) A majority of the responding property owners must vote to approve a Special Assessment District

2) A vote on a Special Assessment District can be attempted once per County Fiscal Year.

“For the property owner interest poll to trigger the publications of the notice of intent to use uniform method to impose non-ad valorem assessment and public hearing, the interest poll shall show that, of those responding to the poll, the majority of properties are in favor of the creation of a special assessment district.”
