Hi Peter, its me. We have a big problem. A pipe inthe basement is leaking. The water isnt gushing out

or anything like that but it is much more than just adrip. It is running out at fairly steady rate. I called two

plumbers and neither would be able to get herebefore 5o clock. By then the basement would be

deep in water. Something needs to be done quickly.Help.

Dont panic. Ill come home as soon as I clear up a coupleof things here. I can probably be there within ninety

minutes. In the meantime, you should just try to get asmuch stuff as you can off the basement floor. Especially

any cardboard boxes. If there is room on tables orcabinets, put them on top. Otherwise just put them on thestairs. Also, check to make sure the drain near the back at

the right is not covered or clogged with anything.
