GUELPH Workshops take place at 147 Wyndham St. N. in the CMHA boardroom unless otherwise specified below. Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, all Guelph workshops require registration. To RSVP for a workshop, please send an email to [email protected] or leave a message at 519-763-4014 x2355. Fairy Teacup Garden: What's that twinkle? Is it the sun through the trees, a trick of the eye or, just perhaps.... It’s fairies! Fairy gardens are all the rage. Join us in making a teacup version with the help of, Anna, Horticultural Therapy Technician, from the Guelph Enabling Garden. If you have a teacup and saucer set or a coffee mug, that, maybe, has a chip out of it but you still want to enjoy it, bring it along to house your fairy or elf. Enabling Garden, Riverside Park, Guelph
Alcohol Ink Framed Prints: Create a one-of-a-kind, framed art print for yourself or as a gift. Riverside Park – look for us at one of the two pavilions and the “Spark Workshop” sign. Roll a Masterpiece – Play a fun game based on a famous artist and recreate a masterpiece in your own style! Sound intriguing? Then what are you waiting for!? Sign up and save yourself a seat! Felted Soap – A felted soap is like a bar of soap with a jacket on! It’s lightly exfoliating and a great way to make your bars last longer. It’s a great washcloth and soap in one! Please note that all natural, fragrance free, dye free, soap will be provided for this activity, so those with frangrance sensistivies are welcome to join in! Suite 201.
KITCHENER All Kitchener workshops take place at CMHA 67 King St. E. (please use Benton St Entrance. If after hours or weekends, ring the buzzer and someone will come and let you in.) Kitchener workshops do not require RSVP unless otherwise stated in the workshop description. DIY DAY – Safety Pin Bracelets with Necol and Kathryn: Come out and have some fun and make a beautiful bracelet! Drawing Fundamentals with Aras: Learn sighting procedures, proportion, and scale and create your own geometric still life drawing! Feel free to bring along your favourite sketchbook if you wish! Mindful Mandalas: Find peace and relaxation in a friendly space! Art Journaling: An art journal is a special place for recording and decoding your interior world -- a place to download all your creative ideas, a place to remember the events of the day, or a place to doodle, to draw, and to dream. Acrylics on Canvas: Paint to your heart’s content and take home your very own masterpiece!
