Manga – Drawing Different Poses This week we are going to be looking at drawing different poses. Drawing people can be a little difficult,

but just try your best!

Most Manga style comics or artworks convey some kind of a story. Some are in a fight, rushing away

from a villain or even dancing. So you will find many of the positions are more like an ‘action shots’.

Below are just some of examples of how your character can be positioned. Think of the story behind

your character. Is it running to rescue someone? Dodging an upcoming threat? Throwing an object?

Whatever it may be Manga styles show some kind of movement in their positions. Remember to draw

lightly on your page in case you need to rub anything out.

WEEK 6 - YEAR 5/6 PE

1. CREATE YOUR OWN WORKOUT!

This week you will need to create your own workout (AND COMPLETE IT!) Use last week’s Workout and our earlier Dice Game or Workout with Joe to assist you with your exercise ideas. Do your own research for some new exercises! The link below has the names and videos for a large number of exercises (there are 5 pages of them) that may help you choose; https://darebee.com/video.html#sort=position&sortdir=asc Your WORKOUT needs to include 10 exercises/stations. Just like last week’s workout, you will need to perform each exercise for 1 minute and have a 2 minute rest before commencing the next exercise. ** If you are finding the workout too difficult, decrease the time you spend on each exercise (perhaps 30 seconds), or if you are not being challenged, decrease the rest time between exercises (or complete your workout twice through!)** Music can be motivating, so pump up your favourite songs as you complete your workout! Working out with a group is also helpful – Get your family to join you in your workout! Please submit to me on Xuno the list of exercises you included in your workout. If anyone would like to also include a video or photo of them working out, please do so! Example Workout Stations (come up with your own!)

1. High Knees 2. Squats 3. Side Lunges 4. Plank 5. Split jacks 6. Climbers 7. Scissors 8. Arm Raises 9. Get-ups 10. Sitting Twists

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CALENDAR

Keep adding to your calendars. Don’t forget to add this week’s workout and any other physical activities that you have completed. Have an awesome week! Ms Staehr
