BIM PUBLIC PROCUREMENT OBSERVATORYMEASURING BIM PROGRESS
WHY DO WE NEED TO MEASURE BIM PUBLIC PROCUREMENT?
General Assembly, Brussels 19/10/02
Three main reasons:
▪ Lack of standardized procurement documents
▪ Hundreds of procurers within the three levels of PublicAdministration: national, regional, local and municipalties (risk of fragmentation)
▪ Public demand is the main enabling factor in terms of BIM adoption
General Assembly 19/10/02
▪ To improve tender documentation quality
▪ To have reliable information to provide guides and recomendations
▪ To Follow the introduction of an open BIM approach
▪ Enforce the idea of the general adoption
