Our hot tubs require either a 32amp power supply with a RCDYou will need an armoured cable running to the hot tub with an IP65 isolated switch located no more than 2m away from the hot tub.

This should have its own dedicated circuit and not be shared with anything else. Electrical burnout due to incorrect amperage WILL NOT be covered by warranty. Ask for qualified electrician for electrical connection. All hot tubs will need installing by a part p qualified installer.(Please ignore if you have a 13amp plug and play model).

BASE FOR YOUR HOT TUB:

The hot tub needs to be positioned on a flat, level, free draining base suitable to hold the weight of the hot tub (filled and with bathers). An uneven base will cause the unit to flex and may cause irreparable damage which will not be covered under the warranty. Where it is intended to install the spa on a concrete base it should be constructed to a minimum of 4

inches/102mm and may need to be reinforced depending on the local ground substrate. If in doubt consult a local builder, contractor or surveyor for advice and information on the construction required. Your hot tub may also be placed onto paving slabs or decorative paviours providing they have been laid on a sub base suitable to support the weight of the tub.Hot Tubs should never be located on flooring that can be damaged by water being trapped underthe tub, splashed over the tub or leaking from the tub. If the hot tub is being positioned over abasement of suspended floor – then you should seek the advice of a structural engineer about to the weight loading and take into consideration the situation in case of flooding.

If the spa is in any location where a leak will cause damage then it must be placed in a bund tank or tray that will be able to contain any leak, in flow and volume, and be plumbed to a suitable drainage. This is especially so where there are floors below the tub location or if the spa is in a basement.

ACCESS

We may require access to all sides of the spa for servicing, so it is advisable to leave at least 1metre clearance around the unit. If you are unable to allow clearance all around the unit then you will need to leave access to the side housing the equipment (usually the same side as the controls).

However, if we do ever need to gain access to the other sides it is your responsibility to move the tub in a suitable position prior to an engineer visit.

You should also consider that you will need room to take the cover on and off and room if you wish to fit a cover lifter.

POSITIONINGThe natural location or the Luso Spas range of hot tubs is on the ground and we do not recommend this type of tub is sunk into the ground or decking. If you do decide to sink your hot tub then please be aware that you must either fit a service hatch with adequate room for an engineer to access all side of the tub, or you must be prepared to remove the spa from ground at your own cost if it ever requires servicing.

Positioning a hot tub indoors is at your own risk, you must ensure precautions are made for leaks, access for maintenance and ventilation. The tub must be on a waterproof flooring with adequate drainage.

Please note tubs are free standing units and are not designed to be built into premises.

Having a suitable base for your hot to sit on is crucial.

FILLING UP YOUR HOT TUBWhen your hot tub has been produced it is wet tested in the factory, this means your hot tub is filled with water and all the functions are tested and the pipework is tested for any leaks. You will need to sanitise the pipe work of the hot tub, this is to kill all bacteria that could be living in the water residue in the pipes.

• Please remove the filter from the filter housing• Fill the hot tub with cold water (ENSURE YOU FILL THIS THROUGH THE FILTER HOUSING

TO AVOID AIRLOCKS) when the hot tub is filling wipe the sides down with a sponge or chamois leather

PLEASE NEVER JUST PUT YOUR HOSE PIPE INTO THE HOT TUB, ALWAYS FILL VIA THROUGH YOUR FILTER HOUSING. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR HOT TUB.

WATER TREATMENTThere are many types of chemicals on the market. Suitable chemicals are chlorine and bromine.Although the correct measures of chemicals must be used (please read chemical instructionscarefully). Using cleaning materials which are not recommended or misusing them can result indamage to the hot tub shell. Our spas do have cleaning systems built in to help keep it healthy.Depending on use I would recommend checking the water after 2-3 months to make sure its still ok to enjoy your relaxation.

• Please note that these instructions are just a guide to maintain the hot tub’s water quality. • Before any actions, please consult your local SPA specialist for proper amount of sanitizer

use,and take proper action depending on the capacity of the SPA.• You should never use pool grade chemicals in your SPA. Any damage to equipment caused

by using pool grade chemicals or other improper chemicals will not be covered under warranty.• SPA water should be professionally tested at least once a month. It’s recommended that the

water is tested weekly by the end user. When adding chemicals to the spa, make sure the pumps are running and allow 20-30 minutes for the chemicals to mix. Test the water after the chemicals are sufficiently mixed into the water.

• NOTE: DO NOT cover the SPA for at least 30minutes after adding chemicals.

THE EFFECT OF PHLow PH (below 7.2) causes sanitizer to dissipate more rapidly, increases corrosion of surfaces and equipment, and may make water irritating to SPA users. If PH is high (above 7.6) chlorinating are less effective, surfaces and equipment can scale, water may cloud and shorter filters runs may occur.ATTENTION: The PH level measures the acidity and alkalinity: Values above 7 are alkali and below 7, are acid. A PH index of between 7.2 and 7.6 is recommended.

WARNING: Please make sure that the correct PH level is maintained, any damage caused by an inade-quate PH level is not covered by your SPA guarantee.

PH Adjustment:• Check the PH of the SPA water daily using the PH tester.• If the PH is above the above-mentioned indexes, do not enter the SPA temporarily. Wait for

two hours and re-do the PH test.• If the PH is below the above-mentioned indexes, let the pumps prime. Wait for two hours and

re-do the PH test.• If the proper PH level cannot be maintained by the above instructions, please add appropriate• amount of acidity-alkalinity balance reagent into the water, uncover the SPA cover, leave it mix

in for 20minutes, then re-do the PH test.

NOTE:Clean the pillow with neutral detergent.Excessive chemical levels and ozone may cause fading of pillows. Fading is not covered by warranty.

DISINFECTION OF THE WATERDisinfection of the water is of utmost importance to destroy algae, bacteria and organisms that could develop in the water. However, excessive disinfection could cause skin and eye irritation.

CHECKING PUMPS AND UNIONS• When you heat your hot tub for the first time your hot tub pipe work will expand. You will need

to check for any leaks or weeping. Also, during transit/positioning of your hot tub the pipework can loosen.• Heat your hot tub to operating temperature approx. 38 degrees• Check unions on the pipes and tighten if needed (this is where the pipe joins onto the pump or heater. These are screw fittings and only need to be hand tight).• In some circumstances it may be necessary to use waterproof silicone on a leak.

PILLOW MAINTENANCE:Grab the lower edge of the pillow with both hands firmly and pull up. As you do it, the pillow in-serts will pop out of the holes. Reseat the pillows by aligning the pillow inserts with the holes and striking the pillow hard enough to insert the pegs back into the holes.

CLEANING THE FILTER• For the first two weeks the filter will need cleaning every couple of days. After this just once a fortnight will be fine or after heavy use.• Remove filter from housing.• Use an outside hose to clean your filter.• A coffee stirrer or lolly stick can be useful to clean any hair from the pleats.• Over time “filter cleaner” will dissolve the filter.• It can be useful to purchase a second filter and allow original filter to dry. thoroughly and alternate with the filters.• Dirty/expanded filters may burn the heater out.

SKIMMER MAINTENANCEThere are two styles of skimmers, one is top-access skimmer, and another is wall-mounting skimmer.

WATER LEVELIt is very important that you will the water to the correct level. All Luso Spas hot tubs have a water fill level. This is one the filter housing. If you do not fill to the correct level this can damage the hot tub, for example burn the heater. On the other control panels, it will display ‘DRY’ if you don’t have the correct amount of water.Make sure your water level is covering the highest jets.

WATER CHANGINGHow often you change your water will depend of your usage as water can only be chemicallymaintained for so long before excess build up occurs and it needs replacing. However, we do recommend you change your water every 3 months.

WATERFALL CONTROLS, DIVERTERS AND JETSWaterfall feature will only work when the jets are on and they can be turned on and offindependently via the twisted knob on the shell. The diverters help to change the course of the water; maybe all onto one seat or split the pressure between two seats. On some of the Luso Spas models you can independently twist the jets on and off, so maybe if there is too much pressure in one of the seats you can turn some of them off till its exactly how you want it.

HOT TUB SERVICING AND MAINTENANCEIt is very important you use suitable chemicals in your hot tub to ensure the quality of your water, dirty water can smell; it could also bring you out in a rash or even cause disease. If your experience foam on the top of your hot tub this is due to the following things: hair products, fake tan, deodorant, oil on your skin, fabric conditioner on your bathing costumes. To avoid foam on your hot tub please shower before entering. There are also products you canpurchase to help minimise this.If your hot tub needs servicing or repairing, please used a qualified technician.

How long can I stay in my spa/hot tub? There is not really a recommended time limit for being in your spa, but at 40 degrees it is advisedyou should take a break after 15 minutes and only stay in a lounger at lower temperature. Alwaysstay hydrated by drinking lots of fluid.

How do you remove lime-scale and biofilms and debris from the inside of thepipework? At your next hot tub water change, before you empty the old water add some pipe cleaner close the air controllers, remove the filter and turn the main pump on for an hour. Soak the filter whilst you are doing this, then empty and clean the spa and do your normal spa maintenance service. This should fix your spa from any problems and dirty pipes you can’t see.

How do you stop hot tub leaks? Most common leaks are unions on pump and heater. These are easy to repair, and Luso Spas cantalk you through this on the phone.

How do I find a leak in my hot tub?Normally a hot tub leaks to the point where the leak is, so If a jet leaks check where the watersettles, and this will be a better indication where your hot tub leak is.

Why will my hot tub not stay hot?First job to try and fix your hot tub is to increase the water level, if this doesn’t work you need toremove the filters, check nothing is floating in the water and turn your spa off and back on again. If the heater comes on you need new filters. If this doesn’t work your heater could have failed which would normally trip the electrics. Also, your sensors or thermostat might not be working.

WATER FREEZINGLeaving the hot tub turned on during the winter will ensure your hot tub does not freeze, alternatively you could drain the tub down using the water out and a water vacuum to suck out the remaining jets/pipework.

LEAVING THE HOT TUB EMPTY FOR EXTENDED PERIODSIf you plan to leave your hot tub empty for extended periods, please ensure the water is fullydrained down and your cover is properly attached. Leaving your hot tub in direct sunlight candamage your hot tub shell. Do not use any chemicals to clean your hot tub when leaving empty as this could damage the shell. It’s recommended that you turn the SPA off and empty it when it’s not more than 2months.It isimportant to remember to leave the cover on even while empty to protect the shell. If you are going away for a few days or weeks,do not turn your spa off completely. Turn the temperature down to 15℃,so that the filtration cycles are still functioning but the spa doesn’t heat.

3-5days: Test PH and sanitizer levels of the spa water and adjust it if necessary(please check thewater maintenance for details);cover the spa;test water balance and adjust if necessary before using the spa again.

5-14days: setting the lowest temperature or sleep mode. Adjust the PH and water treating (pleasecheck the water maintenance for details);cover the spa cover;adjust the PH and water treating when reuse the spa.

More than 15days:Turn off the power;open the drain valve and drain the spa;remove the paperfilter;keep the spa dry and put the spa cover and protection bag on it.

NavigationNavigating the entire menu structure is done with 2 or 3 buttons on the control panel.

Some panels have separate WARM (Up) and COOL (Down) buttons, while others have a single Temperature button. In the navigation diagrams

Temperature buttons are indicated by a single button icon. Panels that have two Temperature buttons (Warm and Cool) can

use both of them to simplify navigation and programming where a single Temperature icon is shown.

The LIGHT Button is also used to choose the various menus and navigate each section.

Typical use of the Temperature button(s) allows changing the Set Temperature while the numbers are flashing in the LCD.

Pressing the LIGHT button while the numbers are flashing will enter the menus.

The menus can be exited with certain button presses. Simply waiting for several seconds will return the panel operation to normal.

Preparation and FillingFill the spa to its correct operating level. Be sure to open all valves and jets in the plumbing system before filling to allow as much air as possible to escape from the plumbing and the control system during the filling process.

After turning the power on at the main power panel, the top-side panel display will go through specific sequences. These sequences are normal and display a variety of information regarding the configuration of the hot tub control.

Priming Mode – M019*This mode will last for 4-5 minutes or you can manually exit the priming mode after the pump(s) have primed.

Regardless of whether the priming mode ends automatically or you manually exit the priming mode, the system will auto-matically return to normal heating and filtering at the end of the priming mode. During the priming mode, the heater is disabled to allow the priming process to be completed without the possibility of energizing the heater under low-flow or no-flow conditions. Nothing comes on automatically, but the pump(s) can be energized by pushing the “Jet” buttons. If the spa has a Circ Pump, it can be activated by pressing the “Light” button during Priming Mode.

Priming the PumpsAs soon as the above display appears on the panel, push the “Jet” button once to start Pump 1 in low-speed and then again to switch to high-speed. Also, push the Pump 2 or “Aux” button, if you have a 2nd pump, to turn it on. The pumps will now be running in high-speed to facilitate priming. If the pumps have not primed after 2 minutes, and water is not flowing from the jets in the spa, do not allow the pumps to continue to run. Turn off the pumps and repeat the process. Note: Turning the power off and back on again will initiate a new pump priming session. Sometimes momentarily turning the pump off and on will help it to prime. Do not do this more than 5 times. If the pump(s) will not prime, shut off the power to the spa and call for service.

Important: A pump should not be allowed to run without priming for more than 2 minutes. Under NO circumstances should a pump be allowed to run without priming beyond the end of the 4-5 minute priming mode. Doing so may cause damage to the pump and cause the system to energize the heater and go into an overheat condition.

Exiting Priming ModeYou can manually exit Priming Mode by pressing a “Temp” button (Up or Down). Note that if you do not manually exit the priming mode as described above, the priming mode will be automatically terminated after 4-5 minutes. Be sure that the pump(s) have been primed by this time.

Once the system has exited Priming Mode, the top-side panel will momentarily display the set temperature but the display will not show the temperature yet, as shown below. This is because the system requires approximately 1 minute of water

flowing through the heater to determine the water temperature and display it.

Fill it up!

PumpsPress the “Jets 1” button once to turn pump 1 on or off, and to shift between low- and high-speeds if equipped. If left running, the pump will turn off after a time-out period. The pump 1 low-speed will time out after 30 minutes. The high-speed will time out after 15 minutes.

On non-circ systems, the low-speed of pump 1 runs when the blower or any other pump is on. If the spa is in Ready Mode (See page 6), Pump 1 low may also activate for at least 1 minute every 30 minutes to detect the spa temperature (polling) and then to heat to the set temperature if needed. When the low-speed turns on automatically, it cannot be deactivated from the panel, however the high speed may be started.

Circulation Pump Modes

If the system is equipped with a circ pump, it will be configured to work in one of three different ways:

1, The circ pump operates continuously (24 hours) with the exception of turning off for 30 minutes at a time when the water temperature reaches 3°F (1.5°C) above the set temperature (most likely to happen in very hot climates).

2, The circ pump stays on continuously, regardless of water temperature.

3, A programmable circ pump will come on when the system is checking temperature (polling), during filter cycles, during freeze conditions, or when another pump is on.

The specific Circulation Mode that is used has been determined by the Manufacturer and cannot be changed in the field.

Filtration and OzoneOn non-circ systems, Pump 1 low and the ozone generator will run during filtration. On circ systems, the ozone will run with the circ pump.

The system is factory-programmed with one filter cycle that will run in the evening (assuming the time-of-day is properly set) when energy rates are often lower. The filter time and duration are programmable. (See page 10) A second filter cycle can be enabled as needed.

At the start of each filter cycle, the blower (if there is one) or Pump 2 (if there is one) will run briefly to purge its plumb-ing to maintain good water quality.

Freeze ProtectionIf the temperature sensors within the heater detect a low enough temperature, then the pump(s) and the blower automati-cally activate to provide freeze protection. The pump(s) and blower will run either continuously or periodically depending on conditions.

In colder climates, an optional additional freeze sensor may be added to protect against freeze conditions that may not be sensed by the standard sensors. Auxiliary freeze sensor protection acts similarly except with the temperature thresholds determined by the switch. See your dealer for details.

Clean-up Cycle (optional)When a pump or blower is turned on by a button press, a clean-up cycle begins 30 minutes after the pump or blower is turned off or times out. The pump and the ozone generator will run for 30 minutes or more, depending on the system. On some systems, you can change this setting. (See the Preferences section on page 12)

Adjusting the Set TemperatureWhen using a panel with Up and Down buttons (Temperature buttons), pressing Up or Down will cause the temperature to flash. Pressing a temperature button again will adjust the set temperature in the direction indicated on the button. When the LCD stops flashing, the spa will heat to the new set temperature when required.

If the panel has a single temperature button, pressing the button will cause the temperature to flash. Pressing the button again will cause the temperature to change in one direction (e.g. UP). After allowing the display to stop flashing, pressing the Temperature Button will cause the temperature to flash and the next press will change the temperature in the opposite direction (e.g. DOWN).

Press-and-HoldIf a Temperature button is pressed and held when the temperature is flashing, the temperature will continue to change until the button is released. If only one temperature button is available and the limit of the Temperature Range is reached when the button is being held, the progression will reverse direction.

Dual Temperature RangesThis system incorporates two temperature range settings with independent set temperatures. The High Range designated in the display by an “up” arrow, and the Low Range designated in the display by a “down” arrow.

These ranges can be used for various reasons, with a common use being a “ready to use” setting vs. a “vacation” setting. The Ranges are chosen using the menu structure below. Each range maintains its own set temperature as programmed by the user. This way, when a range is chosen, the spa will heat to the set temperature associated with that range.

For example:

High Range might be set between 80°F and 104°F.

Low Range might be set between 50°F and 99°F.

More specific Temp Ranges may be determined by the Manufacturer.

Freeze Protection is active in either range.

In order for the spa to heat, a pump needs to circulate water through the heater. The pump that performs this function is known as the “heater pump.”

The heater pump can be either a 2-Speed Pump 1 or a circulation pump.

If the heater pump is a 2-Speed Pump 1, READY Mode will circulate water every 1/2 hour, using Pump 1 Low, in order to maintain a constant water temperature, heat as needed, and refresh the temperature display. This is known as “polling.”

REST Mode will only allow heating during programmed filter cycles. Since polling does not occur, the temperature display may not show a current temperature until the heater pump has been running for a minute or two.

Circulation Mode (See Page 4, under Pumps, for other circulation modes)

If the spa is configured for 24HR circulation, the heater pump generally runs continuously. Since the heater pump is always running, the spa will maintain set temperature and heat as needed in Ready Mode, without polling.

In Rest Mode, the spa will only heat to set temperature during programmed filter times, even though the water is being filtered constantly when in Circulation Mode.

Ready-in-Rest ModeREADY/REST appears in the display if the spa is in Rest Mode and Jet 1 is pressed. It is assumed that the spa is being used and will heat to set temperature. While Pump 1 High can be turned on and off, Pump 1 Low will run until set temperature is reached, or 1 hour has passed. After 1 hour, the System will revert to Rest Mode. This mode can also be reset by entering the Mode Menu and changing the Mode.

Mode – Ready and Rest

READYSET SET REST

READY Mode will allow the spa to Poll and determine a need for heat. The panel will maintain a “current” temperature display.

REST Mode will not Poll and will only heat during filter cycles. The panel will not display a current temperature at all times.

The Main Screen will display RUN PUMP FOR TEMP if the filtration pump has not run for over 1 hour. The Main Screen will display normally during Filter Cycles or when the spa is in use.

If the filtration pump has been off for an hour or more, when any function button, EXCEPT Light, is pressed on the panel, the pump used in conjuncton with the heater will run so that temperature can be sensed and displayed.

Not Available on CE Rated Systems.A GFCI is an important safety device and is required equipment on a hot tub installation.

Your spa may be equipped with a GFCI Protection feature. (UL rated systems only.) If your spa has this feature enabled by the manufacturer, the GFCI Trip Test must occur to allow proper spa function.

Within 1 to 7 days after startup, the spa will trip the GFCI to test it. (The number of days is factory programmed.) The GFCI must be reset once it has tripped. After passing the GFCI Trip Test, any subsequent GFCI trips will indicate a ground fault or other unsafe condition and the power to the spa must be shut off until a service person can correct the problem.

Forcing the GFCI Trip TestThe installer can cause the GFCI Trip Test to occur sooner by initiating it using the above menu.

The GFCI should trip within several seconds and the spa should shut down. If it does not, shut down the power and manu-ally verify that a GFCI breaker is installed and that the circuit and spa are wired correctly. Verify the function of the GFCI with its own test button. Restore power to the spa and repeat the GFCI Trip Test.

Once the GFCI is tripped by the test, reset the GFCI and the spa will operate normally from that point. You can verify a suc-cessful test by navigating to the above menu. PASS should appear after a temp button is pressed from the GFCI screen.

The end-user must be trained to expect this one-time test to occur and how to properly reset the GFCI.

Warning:If freezing conditions exist, a GFCI should be reset immediately or spa damage could result. The end user should always trained to test and reset the GFCI on a regular basis.

General Messages

READY RANGE FLTR1

Priming Mode – M019Each time the spa is powered up, it will enter Priming Mode. The purpose of Priming Mode is to allow the user to run each pump and manually verify that the pumps are primed (air is purged) and water is flowing. This typically requires observing the output of each pump separately, and is generally not possible in normal operation. Priming Mode lasts 4 minutes, but you can exit it earlier by pressing any Temp button. The heater is not allowed to run during Priming Mode.

NOTE: If your spa has a Circ Pump, it will turn on with Jets 1 in Priming Mode. The Circ Pump will run by itself when Prim-ing Mode is exited.

Water is too Hot (OHS) – M029One of the water temp sensors has detected spa water temp 110°F (43.3°C) and spa functions are disabled. System will auto reset when the spa water temp is below 108°F (42.2°C). Check for extended pump operation or high ambient temp.

* This message can be reset from the topside panel with any button press.

M0XX numbers are Message Codes. See Page 15.

Too Cold - Freeze ProtectionA potential freeze condition has been detected, or the Aux Freeze Switch has closed, and all pumps and blower are acti-vated. All pumps and blower are ON for at least 4 minutes after the potential freeze condition has ended, or when the aux freeze switch opens.

In some cases, pumps may turn on and off and the heater may operate during Freeze Protection.

This is an operational message, not an error indication.

READY RANGE READY RANGE

or

Water Temperature is UnknownAfter the pump has been running for 1 minute, the temperature will be displayed.

Safety Trip - Pump Suction Blockage* – M033The Safety Trip error message indicates that the vacuum switch has closed. This occurs when there has been a suction prob-lem or a possible entrapment situation avoided. (Note: not all spas have this feature.)

OPTIONAL EXTRA (GECKO IN TOUCH WIFI)Before proceeding with any installation, be sure to turn spa power off. The in.touch 2 Spa Transmitter unit must be installed under the spa skirt, at least 12” (30 cm) away from any metalcomponent or structure. This is necessary to ensure optimal transmission. In some cases, it may be necessary to relocate the unit once the spa is installed in the yard to ensure proper signal transmission and distance.

Install the Spa Transmitter so the module can be repositioned to optimize the signal strength in the yard (it is possible to see the signal strength with the in.touch 2 application in the menu Set-ting -> in.touch network -> Signal strength).

We recommend that you install the unit with a #8 pan head screw.

Here are some suggestions for a successful installation:• Install the unit as high as possible within the spa skirt, but keep it away from the spa frame if it

is metallic.• Route the cable and leave some slack in the Spa Transmitter cable so the Spa Transmitter can

be moved around in case of reception problems.• Install the Spa Transmitter in a corner of the spa to help avoid metallic components, accesso-

ries and piping close to the Spa Transmitter.• The Spa Transmitter should be installed as close as possible to the house to optimize signal

strength. It is recommended to install the in.touch 2 module on the side of the spa facing the house to increase the signal.

• A body of water between the Spa Transmitter module and the Home Transmitter will reduce the signal strength.

CONNECTION OF THE IN.TOUCH 2 SPA TRANSMITTER (CO MODULE)Simply connect the Spa Transmitter module into an available CO port of the spa pack (or any other accessory with a free CO port, such as the in.stream 2 audio amplifier, or the in.clear spa sanitizing system).Note that the Spa Transmitter only has a single CO cable and thus must be installed at the end of the CO chain if more than a single accessory is installed on the same CO port of the spa pack.

Note: Before powering up the spa pack again, please go to the next step and install the Home Module (EN Module).

HOME TRANSMITTER (EN MODULE) INSTALLATIONThe Home Transmitter unit must be installed inside the house near the router as it needs to be connected to it.The Home Transmitter is provided with an Ethernet cable and a power supply. If required, a longer cable of good quality can be used by the installer (longer cable not provided) to install the Home Transmitter closer to the spa within the home. The only requirement for installation location is that household current be available to power the Home Transmitter using the provided wall transformer. The Home Transmitter can be fixed in the house to optimize the signal strength. We recommend that you install the unit with a #8 pan head screw.

Here are some suggestions for a successful installation:• If possible, install device on the first floor of your house.• If installing in a basement, place at highest level possible and closest to a window.• Try to install as far as possible from materials that may interfere with signal (i.e. metal structures, thick cement walls).• Install as far as possible from router as the signal emitted by the antenna may interfere with RF signal.

CONNECTION OF THE HOME TRANSMITTER (EN MODULE)Simply connect Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port of the Home Transmitter and in one of the available LAN ports on the router.

Finally, to power up the Home Transmitter, connect the provided transformer to a 120V (North American model) or 220V (European model) household supply and connect the USB cable between the transformer and the Home Transmitter.

PAIRING THE SPA TRANSMITTER (CO MODULE) AND THE HOME TRANSMITTER (EN MODE)The pairing process is used when you need to replace one module of the in.touch 2 kit. Otherwise, the in.touch 2 arrives pre-paired from the factory.

Page 54: SPA Installation & Usage Manual · 2020-03-05 · Congratulations On Your New Spa! Thank you for choosing Luso Spas Hot Tub. ... Luso Spas® Hot Tub has tried to anticipate all of

1. Power up the Home Transmitter.

2. Press on the pairing button with a paper clip or some similar tool. When the pairing mode is active the status LED flashes YELLOW in a rapid pattern. The Home Transmitter is then in paring mode and will remain in this mode until it pairs with a Spa Transmitter, or until it is reset (power cycled).

3. Shut off the spa’s breaker (thus turning off the Spa Transmitter), wait a few seconds, and then flip the breaker back on). Within a few seconds, the pairing operation should complete and the Home Transmitter status LED will no longer be YELLOW.

NOTE: in.touch 2 modules can be paired as often as necessary, but can only be paired with a single counterpart module at a time. Once paired, the modules store this information permanently until the next pairing operation. Pairing information is stored in non-volatile memory, so pairing is not required after a power failure. Only a Home Transmitter can initiate a pairing, so it is important that the pairing begin with putting the Home Transmitter module in pairing mode.

If several spas are powered up at the same time with a Home Transmitter in paring mode (for instance, in a dealer showroom), only the 1st spa to successfully connect to the Home Module will pair. As this can be random, it is recommended that only 1 spa be powered up at a time during the pairing process.

USING THE APP

ON YOUR HOME NETWORKIt is possible to access your spa with the in.touch2 app through your home network. To be able to see your in.touch2 in the application you need to connect your device to the same router (Wi-Fi network) than the one used to connect your Home Transmitter.

Go to the Wi-Fi settings section of your mobile device and choose the same network that your spa is connected to (i.e. Home). Once you’ve selected it, waiting until your device confirms the connection.

ON THE INTERNET The in.touch2 allows you to use the Internet to control your spa from anywhere in the world. In order for them to communicate, both the in.touch2 module and your device must be connected to a network that allows access to the Internet.

Once your Home Transmitter is connected to the Internet (the LED status is blue), you can use your in.touch2 app any time your device is also connected to the Internet (wireless or cellular network), even if you are away from home. To have ac-cess to your spa away from home, you will need to have previously linked your mobile device to your spa on your home network.

SET UP YOUR WI-FI ON YOUR DEVICE Before using your application, go to the Wi-Fi section of your device’s settings. Make sure you are connected to your home network. This needs to be the same Wi-Fi provided by the router to which you connected your Home Transmitter.

DOWNLOAD APPLICATION The in.touch app allows you to control your spa using your home network or an internet connection anywhere in the world. The in.touch 2 app is waiting for you in the app store for iOS devices and on Google Play for Android. - search for in.touch2 then click on it to install.
