To prior it ize reviewing projects for bicycle and pedest rian accommodations, t his high -leve l ana lysis aggregates data on keylcharacteristics across the entire sta te. For project selection o r priorit iza t ion, th is process captures an esti ma te fo r dema nd but not existing infrastructure .
To avoid issues with upda tes to the LRS and ensu re cont inu ity across geograph ies, the entire state was divided into 522,263 equal s ized hexagons. Each hexagon is approximate ly 104 ac res; as a frame of refe rence, the Mall of Ame rica w ith attached parking is approximately 88 acres.
