The History Of Southwest

1966-The company was officially formed under the name Air southwest Co by Rollin King and Herb Kelleher.

1967-Their first route was established, going from Houston , Dallas , and San Antonio.

1976- The company was renamed to Southwest Airlines.

They use many tactics to motivate employees, due to different needs.

They believe in using extrinsic rewards with their employees. They love to tell employees how well they are doing.

They do not study their employees. They believe the best way to understand their employees is to simply ask them.
