Southey was established in 1939, initially to offer industrial painting
and contracting services to the mines and heavy industry.The Group
is the country’s largest industrial painting, blast cleaning and
contracting services company catering for major industrial, process
installations, petrochemical and mining operations. Through its
Dormac Division, the Group has grown into South Africa’s leading
ship repair company.
Following a strategy of diversification, Southey has developed an

Southey Contracting (Pty) Ltd has become the largest industrial
painting and thermal insulation company in South Africa. With the
growth of the African oil and gas industry, the company has built
the capacity to undertake contracts for clients in the oil and gas
fields, both in Cape Town, and along the West and East Coasts of
Africa.
Southey Holdings went through a Group restructure in 2009,
where Southey Holdings (Pty) Ltd acquired the businesses of
Southey Contracting as well as the direct shareholding of entities
that were previously held by RJ Southey (Pty) Ltd with its
subsidiaries. Therefore Southey Contracting is now a division of
Southey Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Kwenza Industrial Contractors was established as a Black
Economic Empowerment entity in line with national policy to
develop and enhance the potential of previously disadvantaged
individuals by adding value to business initiatives.
This small enterprise, wholly owned by Southey Holdings and
operating within all companies within the group, has achieved
considerable success in securing contracts, primarily within the
local parastatal environment, as well as receiving a Contribution
Level 1 for BBBEE.

back to 1903. Specialising in the repair, upgrade and conversion of
a diverse range of marine vessels and offshore units, the Company
provides Owners and Operators with a full spectrum of shipyard
services and facilities, which are of the highest international

Dormac has a proud record of offering complex and successful
engineering solutions to vessels and rigs in distress using their
experienced and innovative ship repair managers and dive teams.
Dormac also offers a wide range of specialised engineering services
to industrial clients. These include, amongst others, heavy machining,
steel and pipe fabrication.
Dormac’s Offshore Division is headed up by a team of highly
experienced engineers and project managers whose collective
knowledge and expertise make them a preferred service provider
to the upstream oil and gas industry. Dormac Offshore offers its
turnkey marine engineering services and large project management
capability to Oil Majors and rig Owners for complex projects to
complete Special Periodic Surveys, general repairs and maintenance
as well as rig conversions / upgrades, in either a dry dock or
alongside in a sheltered port.
Dormac also sends travelling repair teams to clients around Sub
Saharan Africa including the Indian Ocean Islands, These are teams
tailored to the Clients specific requirements whether mechanical,
steel, piping or electrical, which are mobilised and deployed to the
vessel or unit in order to accomplish specific tasks on board whilst
underway or on location.

Iso Moulders (Pty) Ltd is a KwaZulu Natal based company with
factories located in Jacobs, Isithebe and Ezakheni. Manufacturers of
expanded polystyrene (EPS) products, the company brings with it a
reputation of providing quality products and reliable service.The Iso
Moulders’ management team boasts over 20 years in EPS
manufacturing and carries a wealth of knowledge and experience
within the industry.The business employs approximately 120 people
across the operation and produces around 180 tons of EPS
products a month.
EPS is light weight material that is well known for its durability,
insulation and moisture resistance. In its raw form EPS is a lightweight
plastic consisting of hollow spherical balls. Raw bead is expanded and
bonded through a process involving steam and high pressure, and
then moulded into the required shape or alternatively moulded into
block form and cut to spec. No CFCs or related gases are used
during production and scrap material is recycled or re-processed.
Iso Moulders specialise in the manufacture of quality moulded EPS
packaging, seed trays and cooler boxes as well as cut to spec EPS
products such as insulation, point of sale displays and a variety of
construction solutions including cornices, panels, and insulation.

Parkhome are leading manufacturers of modular prefabricated units,
specialising in both pre-built and build on site structures that can be
either erected on suspended floors or concrete slabs.
Parkhome Modular Units have completed many successful projects
in Africa and are well versed with the erection of large remote
camps. Within South Africa, we supply many companies with very
diverse solutions such as accommodation units, healthcare facilities,
consulting rooms, laboratories, classrooms, offices, kitchens, ablutions,
kiosks, training centres and other industrial applications. We supply

Our units are manufactured from insulated panels. The panels are
constructed from Chromadek skins which are cut and bent to form
a tongue and groove interlocking system.The metal skins are glued
to a number of core materials including EPS and Polyurethane.The
doors are manufactured in-house using the panelised system as the
base material. The units are available in various sizes and internal
layouts can be designed to customer requirements.
The use of cold room technology results in superior strength and
insulation properties. Parkhome units ensure the best quality for

Rudnev, established in 1971, manufactures structural insulating panels
primarily for construction of cold storage facilities and is accredited
by the Thermal Panel Manufacturers Association (Category A). The
company has provided services for the food, beverage, confectionery
production and distribution industries (for example refrigerated
cabinets, retail refrigerated cold rooms, warming, bakery, dairy,
butchery and deli cold rooms). Rudnev undertakes construction of

Okapi Industries is a manufacturing concern based in Isithebe, Kwa-
Zulu Natal and has been in operation for over 25 years.The factory
premises encompass 6 000m2 of which 3 000m2 is under roof.The
staff complement fluctuates around 80 employees.

• Pocket and Utility Knives
Our famous folding 907E lock knife has been in production for
over 100 years and is sold in all parts of the world.Variations of
this classic are the ‘Big Sable’, ‘Medium Banana’ and ‘Small Flat ‘

We have a range of 20-30 other fixed blade knives for local and
