(6714 m, 22156 ft.) is situated in the southwestern part of Tibet. The mountain's physical form and colour make it a natural symbol of purity. On the lap of Mt. Kailash is Lake "Manasarovar" which is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. Mt. Kailash, appearing like a giant Shivalingam placed in a 16 petalled lotus, is regarded by Hindus as an embodiment of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvathi. The sacred Manasarovar lake is at a height of 4560 mts. the sea level with a circumference of 110 kms, can be trekked in about 3 days. It has a depth of 300 ft and covers an area of 350 sq kms. It gives a most beautiful and impressive foreground to the snow capped Mt. Kailash shining in the north. Now the network of motorable roads turned the dreams into reality. Journey begins with scenic drive from Kathmandu to Nepal-Tibet Border, Kodari. From here land cruiser jeeps take the piligrim to Kailash Manasarovar to achieve our ultimate goal. We take "Parikrama" (Circumambulation) of Manasarovar lake by Jeep and Mount Kailash on foot.

A ritual bath in the sacred Manasarovar will take the a pilgrims to Brahma's paradise and drinking of its waters relinquishes the sins of hundred of life times. Conventional wisdom says a single circuit of Mount Kailash wipes out the sins of a life time. Prithvi Narayan Shah, king of Gorkha conquered Kathmandu and united Nepal into one Kingdom. During mid 19th century, Jung Bahadur Rana became Nepal's first Prime Minister with an absolute power.

This temple in Kathmandu was built by King Bhupateendra Malla in 1697. This temple is believed to be 1500 years old and one of the holiest and oldest Shiva temples in the world (Nepal).

Indians are not required to obtain Nepal Visa. We obtain your Visa for Tibet from Chinese embassy and all necessary permits for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. Photo copy of passport with details (full name exactly like in the Passport, Date of Birth, Occupation, Passport number and Nationality) should reach us atleast 4 weeks before the commencement of the tour. Passport must be valid at least for 6 months from the date of entry in Tibet. Passport will be given after obtaining Chinese Visa prior to departure of the Mt. Kailash Tour at Delhi or Kathmandu. How ever you need to carry Voter ID Card to reach to Kathmandu.

Kathmandu - Kodari - Kathmandu will be by private bus for the group. Thereafter in Tibet you will be travelling in 4WD Toyota, Land Cruiser Jeep throughout the journey. Your Luggage, Food items and all camping equipments will be carried in a separate truck.

In Kathmandu Single / Twin / Tripple Bed sharing rooms will be provided as per the requirement, but in Tibet 2 to 6 Bed sharing rooms are available in Tented Camp / Hotel / Guest Houses. Rooms at the guest houses in Tibet have basic facilities but without any modern amenities. During camping high at altitudes, tents with mattresses and sleeping bags will be provided.

We will be providing pure vegetarian meals through out the tour. You are advised to bring sufficient supplementary foods like Chocolates, Biscuits, Nuts, Bhujias, Savouries etc. for yourself.

On the day of your arrival at Kathmandu, there will be a film and slide show followed by detail briefing about the programme and on high altitude sickness, its symptoms and prevention.

In Tibet, weather condition from May to 0September is dry and sunny. Maximum temperature will be 22 degrees

0 0centigrade and minimum 0 to 10 degrees centigrade.

All piligrims are advised to have a health certificate given by a reputed doctor confirming that they are fit to take Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. Walking for 4 to 5 kms per day at least 4 to 5 weeks prior to the departure date is recommended. People suffering from asthma and heart problems will not be allowed.

You can change INRs at the border or at Zhangmu.

With each group we send professional Tour Leader / Co-ordinator from our company besides highly experienced Sherpas who have been to Kailash area for many times. They are responsible for all camping & cooking arrangements. Local English speaking guide will be provided by our counter part in Tibet.

Still cameras, home video cameras and 8 mm movie cameras are allowed in Tibet. However special permission is required for 16 mm and 35 mm movie cameras.

Places you can communicate by telephone are Nyalamu, Saga, Paryang, Darchen, Purang and Hor Qu, mobile phone with International roaming facility can get access from almost everywhere except during Mt. Kailash Parikrama

While driving to Mt. Kailash, it will be warm inside the vehicle but very cold outside. Mornings and evenings will be generally cold and warm clothing will be required. We recommend that you bring the following clothing and accessories with you - Small backpack (bag for day use) 1. Good well worn-in walking Shoes-2, Slipper 1, Woollen Shirt 3, Cotton shirts 4, Regular underwear 3, Thermal underwear 1, Woolen trousers 2, Wind and rain gear with hool 1, Woolen cap 1, Gloves 1, Sun hat 1, Woollen and cotton socks 4, Sweaters 2, Towel 2, Track suit 1, Toilet kit 1, Flash light / torch with extra batteries 1, Sun glass 1, repair kit 1 (Needle, Tread tape, Buttons etc.) Pocket knife 1, Camera and extra films, Binocular (optional) 1, Sun block cream and lip salve 1, Water bottle of 1.5 litres 1, Note book, Pens, Reading materials. Required medicines to carry.

Camphor, Agarbatti, (insence sticks), Samidha (for Hawan), Bel Patra, Kumkum, Rice, Wicks dipped in ghee, Moli (red thread), Bell, Small Diya, Prayer book etc.

To protect against unforeseen circumstances, we advise you to take a medical insurance policy in your home country. The policy should also include coverage of transportation cost in the event of helicopter or surface evacuation being required. We regret to inform that such policies are not available in Nepal.
