In June, we were able to pay off the debt incurred in 2006-2007 when we renovated and remodeled the Ballast Point Campus.

At STF, there has been at least one decision for Christ every Sunday since last December. This is unheard of, and we praise God for the work He is doing in our church!

Sunday morning services at our BP Campus have been filling up. We launched a 6 p.m. service to offer another worship opportunity and to make more seats available in the morning.

MISSION-VISION-VALUES CELEBRATIONS!

M I S S I O N

We exist to REACH people with the Gospel, RAISE them up in God’s Word, and RELEASE them to serve and do ministry for God’s glory.

V I S I O N

We strive to be a church that is “for the city.” It is our vision to have an STF campus in every unique community in South Tampa.

C O R E V A L U E S

Grow SpirituallyWe will work toward spiritual maturity, not content to live as “infants in Christ” but, through faithful perseverance, to strive for growth in every area of our lives.

Pray FaithfullyWe will pray continuously and confidently in all situations.

Worship PassionatelyWe will worship God together will all our hearts, reverently and audaciously.

Give GenerouslyWe will give cheerfully and without hesitation as an act of thankfulness for God’s provision.

Serve UnconditionallyWe will joyfully serve our church as well as our community by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Share CourageouslyWe will share the Gospel openly, frequently and boldly, both corporately and personally.

72 people attended a Discover class and became

members of STF this year.

There were a total of 61 baptisms this year: 17 adults,

18 students and 26 children.

“ We were both sprinkled as children, but we learned that baptism by

immersion shows that we are being obedient to God. That’s what we

wanted to do. We wanted to obey God and what He had asked us to do.” – Carolyn Talley

“We have seen people desperate for Jesus, break down

and cry out for Him. We have been half a block away and people

have yelled “Hey! I need prayer!!!” We have given hope to people

that saw no hope in their lives. All in their lives had been stripped

“I was invited to a club meeting at a ocal high school. I was blown away

What happened next was extraordinary: 62 students made a decision that day

“After the Dominicans beat us up pretty badly on the

WORSHIP/CREATIVEWe rebranded the Worship Arts team to be STFCreative. This will include worship, tech, photography, videography, and graphic design.

21 people auditioned at DI and BP.

We added 8 new team members for worship.

We had 50 people join us for the STFCreative lunch.

We launched new weekly video announcements.

We supply worship teams for 10 worship services throughout the week.

We purchased and installed a new lighting console and “intelligent” lighting in the BP East Worship Center.

Our tech and worship teams support several special events and outside groups throughout the year.

We purchased and installed 5 new projectors across campuses and a new video mixing system for the simulcast in our BP West Worship Center.

“ I always wanted to be in the band, but I really wasn’t

talented in that area, so my youth pastor offered to show

me how to do slides. And honestly, doing something so

young made me feel like I had a purpose, and through

that I’ve just fallen in love with serving in tech. I’ve

trained many people now and try to make many

serving opportunities for people.” – Riley Cooper

“ I loved seeing the unity that was between the

middle schoolers and high schoolers at camp.”

“ WAKE helped me learn more about Jesus. It truly spoke to

me as it was coupled with my school’s First Priority club. It

went beyond and extended what I learned in First Priority.”

“ Seeing the joy that the kids have that we’re

serving is life changing.”

This was our second year of doing VBX, and we

had 95 students and leaders.

We packed and delivered 50 Thanksgiving turkey baskets.

We took 40 students and leaders to Atlanta for the Passion Conference.

STUDENTS

We had an awesome response to our first on-site Fall Women’s Conference with Rebekah Lyons and

Worship Leader Bethany Barr Phillips! 156 women attended.

In January 2018, new discipleship groups launched, which encouraged participants to pursue a

lifelong journey of discipleship. There were 82 participants.

“ I loved being a part of discipleship because I have made

deep connections and friendships with other women in the

church. It has provided me a network of prayer warriors who

encourage, strengthen, and challenge me in my walk.” – Jessica

40 STF women joined with others in the community to hear challenging Bible teaching and encouragement from Priscilla Shirer.

We held two Night of Gathering Events attended by

174 women. It was an amazing time of fellowship and a wonderful opportunity for women to connect, especially with those new to STF!

“ I loved the Night of Gathering, because it not only gave

me the opportunity to catch up with old friends, but I made new

friends as well. The small-group time was such a sweet time of

sharing, and I really sensed the Holy Spirit moving in our hearts.

I left feeling updated on upcoming church events and ministry

opportunities, encouraged and rejuvenated.” – Tiffany

82 women attended the Summer Bible Study! Younger women expressed how much they appreciated the “mentoring” that occurred through the small-group sharing!

Over 40 couples attended a 2B1 8-week small group in 2018!

“ As we joined other couples baring our truths to

one another, we grew into a community of believers

all seeking God as the foundation of our marriages.

As He does, our moments did not stop when the study concluded. Many of our group

members went on to form a community group and continue to intertwine our lives with

one another’s. 2B1 was transformative and is easily one of the premier marriage studies

we’ve ever been a part of. For the single, engaged or any stage of married, 2B1 can help

ignite your hearts for your marriage in ways we never would have thought of on our

own.” –AJ and Erin Brilla

84 men are playing on 7 teams in our men’s softball league.

We have been averaging 25 men at the Wednesday morning

Men’s Bible Study.

100 people on average attend the First Sunday Lunch.

We have been averaging 17 people at the Tuesday Bible Study.

MEN

SENIORS

MARRIED LIFE

An average of 25 people find healing in the DivorceCare

seminars annually.

An average of 80 people attend CR weekly.

“ When my wife and I started attending Thursday nights, our marriage

was in serious trouble. God is now doing great things. Our relationship is now

growing and changing. We have hope.”We have 6 issue- and gender-specific discussion groups, 6

active step-study groups, and we graduated 5 step-study groups.

“ Even though I have attended church and Bible studies most of my life, I

had not addressed some of the issues and lifelong patterns that had severely

hindered my relationships. During the step study, I began addressing these

patterns. Things are changing in my family, and relationships are healing.”

Annie Everett mentioned that one of her favorite stories is from when she was teaching on faith. She talked about having faith of a mustard seed, and how God already gives us the faith that we need. We just need to accept it and let it grow, and sometimes that takes time. She gave them all mustard seeds, and they took them home and let them sprout and grow. So the kids got to watch this process over time. The lesson and the sprouting mustard seed affected one mom so much she ended up getting a huge tattoo of the sprouting seed on her side.

Our STF Operations staff has had a busy year. STF ministries as well as outside groups have made frequent use of our facilities, and that use always involves the Operations Department. Either our Operations staff or outside vendors have spent a lot of time getting air-conditioning units repaired, replacing lightbulbs, fixing toilets, setting up tables and chairs (and then taking them down … and then setting them up …). In addition to those sorts of “regular” day-to-day activities, a few larger projects have also taken place under the Operations banner. Among them were these:

• The preschool playground was completed, including the addition of large fans and much-improved drainage. A new wall is being constructed on the Bayshore side of the playground.

• We built new “drum cages” for the BP and DI Campus.

• The children’s hallway at the DI Campus was transformed into a fun, kid-friendly space similar to the Pier 3:16 area at the BP Campus.

• The walkway between the DI sanctuary and what is now the Pinnacle Academy was re-coated with asphalt as the beginning of a beautification project for that area.

• As an Eagle Scout project, a flagpole was installed at the Davis Islands Campus, and the area around it was landscaped and lighted.

• New lights were added to the exterior of the Davis Islands Campus.

• Because of the greatly increased use of the BP facilities, our outside cleaning service was contracted to come three times a week instead of just once.

• We have contracted with a company to maintain the three retention ponds at the BP Campus year-round.

I N C O M E •Tithes & Offerings for 2019 are budgeted at $3,068,000, which is the same as the 2018 projected income.

2019 Budget $3,068,000 2018 Budget $2,673,685

•Other Income includes income generated from ministry activities such as registration fees, food sales, rents, etc. The decrease in 2019 is primarily related to the elimination of the Mothers Morning Out program.

C O M P E N S A T I O N A N D B E N E F I T S • Includes compensation and benefits for all part-time and full-time employees.• Assumes that an associate pastor will be hired sometime in 2019.

2019 Budget $1,716,560 2018 Budget $1,465,301

M I S S I O N S • Missions is budgeted at 10% of tithes and offerings. Additionally, STF designates 10% of the Special Offering each year to support missions. In addition to church funding, donors may still make restricted gifts specifically to Missions. Allocation of the Missions budget to specific ministries will be overseen by the Missions Committee. • If tithes and offerings are better than budget, the authorized amount available to spend for missions will automatically increase pro rata.

2019 Budget $306,800 2018 Budget $264,900

M I N I S T R I E S • All part-time ministry employees are included in “Compensation & Benefits.”• As the ministries continue to grow, more money is being invested in our Family Life Ministries (Children’s, Students, College, etc.).

2019 Budget $450,899 2018 Budget $367,233

S U P P O R T S E R V I C E S • All part-time support service employees are included in “Compensation & Benefits”.• Many of the support services costs are set contractually, so cuts and/or elimination of costs is not always possible (i.e.: property and liability insurance, equipment leases, telephone systems, etc.).

2019 Budget $614,281 2018 Budget $569,423

O P E R A T I N G R E S E R V E • Since the church is now debt free and no longer has to make principal payments, we will begin allocating a portion of our annual budget to fund an Operating Reserve account.
