South Shore Workforce Investment Board
The South Shore Workforce Investment Board, made up of private and public sector decision
makers, is responsible for oversight of the regional workforce system. The Board creates and maintains
linkages to local employers, educational institutions, and community partners and job seekers. It also
participates in the development of strategic, market driven, workforce goals for the south shore region.
The Board ensures that all workforce programs meet high performance standards and that businesses have
access to a skilled workforce to help them remain competitive in a global market. The Board also supports
that individuals seeking work find a job or a career that meets their needs.
