Perfectly positioned just eight miles north of Hull, and 12 miles west of the North East Coast, Beverley
is most famous for its architecturally renowned Minister (founded in the eighth century) which dominates the local skyline. In recent times, the town has gained a reputation as a major shopping destination for the region, boasting many well-known High Street names and independent retailers.
However, take a walk through the town along Toll Gavel, Butcher Row and Hengate – and you are stepping back in time into some of the area’s surviving medieval streets.
Major centres like York, Hull, the coast and the North York Moors can be accessed easily through excellent road links. The town is also well served through rail links with direct trains to Hull, Scarborough and Doncaster and links, through Hull, to London, Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield.
