This week our P&C held Father’s Day stalls on both campuses. Our thanks to our P&C for organising this fundraiser for our school which was a great success. I would like to wish all our dads a fantastic Father’s Day this Sunday and I hope you are all spoilt by your families. We held a raffle on each campus and the winners are: Primary - Kaleb Williams, Ella McNee, Riley Stanton, Ryan Gorton, James Fisher, Isaac Hall, Matthew Winmill and Alyssa Graham. Infants - Nicola Longstaff, Aurora Menzies, Liam Stanton, Mrs Creighton, Henry Ricketts, Jalani Bannerman, Ava Thurgood-Randall and Isaac Hayes. MARKET DAY NEXT THURSDAY

Our P&C is currently working very closely with Mrs Buckley organising our Market Day. A reminder to our families that students should be saving their coins to have the opportunity to be involved in the excellent range of activities provided on Market Day. This initiative is always very well supported by our school community and we are looking forward to another excellent day. Plant Stall: Mrs Lavery and Mr Tapp will be holding the plant and book stall. We would greatly appreciate donations of any plants, books or fruit. Cake Stall: We are asking for donations for the cake stall, they can be left on the Wednesday or Thursday morning at the Primary Canteen. Please label all items with ingredients. We appreciate your help. Tombola: Miss Carter and Mrs Hullman are asking for empty jars or jars filled with goodies for this stall. Any donations can be left at the office. Craft Stall: Any donations for this stall would be greatly appreciated. Raffle tickets need to be returned sold or unsold to school by next Thursday 7th September.

Currently we have Year 4 students attending Lake Ainsworth. It looks like they are having a great time on this wonderful excursion.

Congratulations to Isaac Barker who last week attended the state PSSA carnival for Rugby Union. Isaac performed extremely well at this carnival and has been chosen for the NSW State PSSA team which is a magnificent achievement. Isaac will be representing his state at the National Carnival to be held in Darwin later this year. Goodluck to the following students Esther Barker, Zoe Rayward, Tom Lehman and Ben Woolfe who are representing our school at the Premier’s Spelling Bee. This will be held at Maclean Public School next Wednesday 6th September. Congratulations to our primary students who have achieved silver badge status and will be attending next Tuesday’s Silver Badge assembly to be held in our Primary Hall at 11.00am. A note has been sent home with these students. This is a fantastic achievement by these students and we are all looking forward to a lovely morning tea which will follow this assembly. Parents are invited to attend this special assembly. Next week our school is celebrating SASS Week which recognizes the outstanding contributions our non-teaching staff (SASS) make to our school each day. Our school is very lucky to have such outstanding SASS personnel and our students and staff greatly appreciate all the amazing things each of our SASS staff contribute on a daily basis.

Have a great week. Mr Peter Hickey - Principal

MARTIN CHATTERTON We would like to offer Martin Chatterton’s caricatures of the children to their parents first in exchange for a donation to the school. Any remaining caricatures will be raffled on Market Day.

OVERDUE BOOKS We have an unusual amount of overdue books at the moment. Please remind your children to return their books ASAP as there are often other children waiting for these books.

LIBRARY CAFE As an extra service to parents and students, our Library is open until 4pm Wednesdays for borrowing, returning and use of computers and printers.
