iPadsInstallation - MDM with Managed App1. Install MDM and enroll iPads2. Install Testing Site Manager (TSM)

• Using a TSM is mandatory for oral (HVA/TTS) and video (VSL) testing accommodations

• TSM software should be installed on a Windows, Mac (OS X), or Linux machine

• Using a TSM with iPads adds an additional layer of test security as this would prevent DRC INSIGHT from being accessed outside of district or school’s network

• If iPads are issued to students who test at multiple schools within a district, you may want to set up district-level TSM(s) specifically for iPads that are accessible to all the schools using them

Page 38: South Carolina EOCEP and SCPASS Spring 2015 Technology Coordinator Training for Online Testing March 26, 2015 Link to audio presentation:

iPadsInstallation - MDM with Managed App3. Configure MDM iPad group with system settings, if MDM

allows:• Configure Guided Access• Per the tech guide, it is not necessary to turn off all of the above

settings for SC because there are only MC/TE test questions; the only setting that requires special configuration is Guided Access.

Page 39: South Carolina EOCEP and SCPASS Spring 2015 Technology Coordinator Training for Online Testing March 26, 2015 Link to audio presentation:
