Project Purpose and Need
Improve safetyThe design and deteriorating condition of transportationinfrastructure in the corridor created the need for
improvements.Improve multimodal mobilityCritical roadway connections are missing and facilities forboth pedestrians and bicyclists are lacking.
Improve accessibilityGrade separations, ramp, and intersection configurationslimit access to activity centers.
Support ongoing economic developmentOngoing and planned development in the area will add thousands of jobsand create new residential neighborhoods, creating the need fortransportation improvements.
