altitudes separate by architectural structures. The most notable is the solar calendar (Intiwatana) that
means “where the sun is tied”.

guarded by a massive fortress. We will discover the large archaeological complex of what used to

Luciano K - Deluxe room
With some special historic architectural charm. The hotel has what it must be the prettiest Art Deco
stairwell in the city. Open-sided at the top to the air and sunshine, it leads you up to the hotel's great
draw card a surprising rooftop bar. The hotel is named after its lauded architect Luciano Kulczewski,
sometimes dubbed the Chilean Gaudi. The whalebone-like arches of the hotel's entrance hallway will
strike a chord with Barcelona architecture fans. Its restoration has now created a 38-bedroom
boutique hotel with an informal, peaceful atmosphere. Heels click across old tiles, and in the guest
rooms mellow parquet floors highlight the clean, crisp decor. Rooms at the front have a view across

Today you will depart towards Valparaiso for a visit with your guide.
Once the most important port in all of South America—full of globe- trotting European residents and
their riches—this city long served as the Continent’s glamorous link to the rest of the world. Locals
(known as porteños) - an incongruous mix of artists, sailors, and students—still gather at the same
century-old bars, while Edwardian villas and Art Nouveau palaces balance on hilltops. Funiculars have
served Valparaíso since the late 1800s; ride one of these up the hills to look down at the colorful town
fringing the sea below. The port city is the cultural hub of Chile, poet Pablo Neruda once lived here,
and the residents’ creative spirit manifests itself in the vibrant tones of the multihued homes
and the bohemian murals tagging the walls.

Almirantazgo), in the Strait of Magellan that
stretches nearly halfway across Tierra del Fuego. The
snowcapped peaks of Karukinka Natural Park stretch
along the north side of the sound, while the south
shore is defined by the deep fjords and broad bays
of Alberto de Agostini National Park. We go ashore
at Ainsworth Bay, which harbors copious bird life
and a colony of southern elephant seals.
Leaving Ainsworth Bay behind, we sail west along the sound to the Tucker Islets. After lunch, we board
the Zodiacs again for a close-up view of the Magellan penguins that inhabit the tiny islands. More
than 4,000 penguins use Tucker as a place to nest, give birth and nurture their chicks. Many other bird
species also frequent the area including king cormorants, oystercatchers, Chilean skuas, kelp geese,
dolphin gulls, eagles and even the occasional Andean condor.
Day 22 – Cape Horn Cruise
Overnight we sail around the western end of Tierra del Fuego via the very narrow Gabrial Channel,
Magdalena Channel and Cockburn Channel. After rounding the remote Brecknock Peninsula, the
vessel tacks eastward and enters the Beagle Channel again. By morning we are entering Pia Fjord and
boarding the Zodiacs for a shore excursion to Pia Glacier. Back onboard the ship, we continue east

along the Beagle Channel through an area called Glacier
Alley. Living up to its name, the passage features a number
of impressive tidewater glaciers flowing down from the
Darwin Mountains and Darwin Ice Sheet on the north
shore.
Day 23– Cape Horn Cruise
During the early morning we navigate the narrow Murray Channel between Navarino and Hoste
islands and drop anchor at historic Wulaia Bayt. Originally the site of one of the region’s largest
Yámana aboriginal settlements, the bay was described by Charles Darwin and sketched by Captain
FitzRoy in the 1830s during their voyages on the HMS Beagle. This area is also renowned for its
mesmerizing beauty and dramatic geography.
In the afternoon we cruise across Nassau Bay into the
remote archipelago that includes Cape Horn National Park.
Weather and sea conditions permitting, we shall go ashore
on the windswept island that harbors legendary Cape Horn
(Cabo de Hornos). For many years it was the only
navigation route between the Pacific and Atlantic, and was
often referred to as the "End of the Earth." The park was
declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005.
Day 24 – Disembark Ushuaia
We sail into Argentine waters and dock in Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city.
You will be transferred to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Ushuaia is the capital and tourism base for Tierra del Fuego, the island at the southernmost tip of
Argentina. Ushuaia feels like a frontier boomtown, at heart still a rugged, weather-beaten fishing
village. Above the city rise the last mountains of the Andean Cordillera, and just south and west of
Ushuaia they finally vanish into the often-stormy sea. Snow whitens the peaks well into summer.

Day 30 – Iguazu to Buenos Aires
This morning you will be transferred to Iguazu Airport to catch your flight to Buenos Aires.
You will be met in Buenos Aires and transferred to your hotel.
Your hotel for the next 3 nights
Casa Sur Recoleta Hotel
An intimate bolthole with a sophisticated and stylish edge, CasaSur Recoleta Hotel Buenos Aires is
conveniently placed in the smart Recoleta region east of the city centre. With a stress relieving spa, a
restaurant and bar serving tapas and light meals, this is a peaceful enclave in a cosmopolitan part of
town. The atmosphere is one of low-key city chic with a bold, masculine look throughout, softened by
vases of colourful flowers and strategically placed candles on gleaming polished tables.
Day 31– Buenos Aires, City tour
Today we will arrange a private city sightseeing tour, visiting La Boca and the best areas of the city.
Starting at Plaza de Mayo, the city’s foundational site. There, we visit the buildings surrounding the
square: the Pink House, our Presidential Palace, the Cabildo, primitive town hall, and the Metropolitan
Cathedral, an imposing neoclassical building. After lunch we’ll head for Avenida de Mayo. We’ll
continue on the Colon Opera House.

Next, we’ll head for the city’s more traditional residential districts of the north. In Retiro, we’ll observe
the splendid Plaza San Martin, and once in Recoleta, we’ll visit Avenida Alvear, where one can find the
top designer houses in the world and the celebrated Recoleta Cemetery, where many of the greatest
personalities in Argentine history are buried, Eva Perón included.
Day 32 - Departure
Today you will be met by your chauffeur that will take you to the Buenos Aires airport to catch your
departing flight.
Buen Viaje!
