Summer Time.

Climate

South Africa enjoys a temperate

and pleasant climate. Although

June is winter in South Africa,

there is a wide variation in

climate between Johannesburg

and the coast. Day time

temperatures vary between 15C

and 20C although evenings can

be cool.

Flying Times

The flight from London to

Johannesburg is approx 12

hours.

Money

South African : Rand

As with travelling anywhere

abroad, it is safer to keep the

bulk of your money in

travellers cheques. Visa and

Mastercard are accepted in most

places. Cash points are not as

readily available as in the UK

so please do not rely on doing

this.

Health

Health requirements are

minimal. Most of South Africa

is malaria free and tap water is

safe to drink. However, we

recommend checking with your

own doctor if they suggest any

precautions especially as you

will be visiting Kruger

National Park .

Visas

Nationals from the UK and EU

do not require an entry visa.

You will need 2 consecutive

blank pages and 6 months

unexpired on your passport.

Security

Although South Africa has had

bad press in the past for crime,

the country has now adopted a

zero tolerance attitude. As with

any other country, common

sense applies. Please make use

of safes in rooms and look after

personal belongings when out.

myriad of delights to anyone of any age who needs to ‘get away from

it all’. Peace and quiet is the catchphrase amid its unsurpassed

grandeur where the World’s second highest waterfall tumbles down a

series of breathtaking cascades.

Kruger One of the largest game reserves in South Africa, Kruger

covers 7,580 square miles. All of the Big Five can be found at Kruger,

which has more species of large mammals than any other African

game reserve. As well as the over whelming stock of mammals living in

Kruga, it is home to hundreds of species of birds, fish, reptiles and

different types of vegetation. It really is a unique wonder to

experience.

Cape Town Affectionately known as the Mother City, Cape Town is

South Africa’s oldest city. Without doubt, one of the most beautiful

cities in the world. The impressive presence of Table Mountain,

flanked by the legendary Devil’s Peak and historical Signal Hill, stands

proudly above the city. Beautiful white sandy beaches along a peaceful

coastline frame the Cape Peninsula, which is famed for its unique floral

kingdom, bountiful rivers, dams and magnificent countryside. The

surrounding area extends far into the winelands, green in summer and

re-gold in autumn. Cape Town has a relaxed atmosphere, and offers

visitors a host of outdoor leisure activities and all the amenities of a

world class city. With superb restaurants, magnificent beaches and

YOUR HOLIDAY CONTRACT : When you make a

booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to

accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms

of these booking conditions.

YOUR SECURITY : Robert Davies Sports Travel are fully

bonded members of the Civil Aviation Authority ATOL

(4225). Your money is secure.

NAMES : Names must be supplied at the time of

booking, any changes will be subject to amendment

fees as laid down by the individual airlines.

PAYMENT DETAILS : Final balances will be due no later

than 12 weeks prior to departure.

PAYMENTS : We accept payment by cash, cheque,

credit or debit card. We do not accept AMEX. Please

note that payment by visa or mastercard carry a 2.5%

bank charge.

HOTELS : Prices are based on twin/double rooms and

two people sharing. If a triple room is requested, this is

likely to be a double bed plus a sofa bed. Single

occupancy incurs a single room supplement as outlined

in our costs. We will always endeavour to obtain the

room requested but this cannot be guaranteed. Should

we through circumstances beyond our control be

forced to change your accommodation, we will advise

you at the earliest opportunity. In these rare cases we

will offer a hotel of the same standard or higher and

any extra cost will be absorbed.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY : It is unlikely that we will

have to make changes to your travel arrangements but

we do plan the arrangements many months in advance

and therefore occasionally we may have to make

changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS : Travel documents will be issued

approximately 14 days prior to departure.

ID : All passengers travelling will require a full passport.

You will need 6 months unexpired on your passport at

your return. Visas are not required for travel to South

Africa.

TOUR MERCHANDISE will be provided and is likely to

consist of waterproof jacket, fleece, polo shirt and bag.

Please indicate your correct size when booking as

merchandise CANNOT be changed once ordered.

CANCELLATION CHARGES : Should you wish to cancel

your booking, we will require notification in writing.

Cancellation charges will be levied in accordance with

the scale set out in terms and conditions.

cannot be responsible for refunds of money due to

cancellation of matches as a result of inclement

weather, foot and mouth, outbreak of disease,

terrorism or events beyond our control.

protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL

INSURANCE : It is your responsibility to ensure you

have adequate travel insurance, and we will require

details of the company and policy number prior to

travel. Unfortunately we do not offer travel insurance

from this office but recommend you contact your

insurance broker, bank or post office who will be able

to provide suitable cover.
