Nelson Mandela Nelson Mandela is a famous man from south Africa.
He was born on the of july 1918.
He was imprisioned in robin island for 27 years. He was ment to be imprisioned for 42 years but they set him free early becouse of protests
His prision number was 46664.
He was president of South Africa for 5 years for 1994 to 1999.
In 1993 he won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to get equil rights for White Africans and Black Africans.
He is now 93 years of age and is still very well after all the wear and tear that happened on robin Island digging up all of the stone with all of the other prisionors

• My dad has gone over every November to help build the houses for the last ten years. In that time they have built about 2500 houses for the poor people that used to live in shaks
They have also built a school and lots of halls
