The Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire recognizes the importance of fostering creative expression and ar-tistic achievement in our schools.
Students from all over the Unit-ed States submit work in sixteen vi-sual art categories, with the regional recipients forwarded to New York in mid-February, for national adjudica-tion. The National Awards ceremony and exhibition will take place in June
in NYC with an awards ceremony in Carnegie Hall.
The annual statewide event high-lights the award-winning student work. This spectacular display show-cases Gold, Silver and Honorable Mention works.
The adjudication panels include col-lege visual art professors, museum educators, retired middle and high school art educators and practicing
artists. The 6 judging panels (3 judges each) blindly and silently adjudicated through a digital process.
Last week the artwork done by Am-herst Middle School artists was pub-lished in the newspaper. This week the artists from Souhegan High School are being featured. Congratulations to all the students who participated!
