SoOum was established in February, 2013. Join us as we embark on a long journey in the world of Physical Commoditiesarbitrage/trading. We identify arbitrage opportunities on supply and demand shifts of physical commodities in opposing markets, and we distribute trade intelligence to global subscribers in order to solve the frontier supply shortage and to bring new business to local manufactures. Unlike specialized supply chains SoOum's solution focuses on broad, real-time, information management, reliable trade economics and proprietary algorithms to find surpluses and fill shortages.

SoOum's business philosophy is patterned after the Persistence Hunting Strategy and consists of four major components:
- Scouting - data mining and analysis
-Gathering - deal creation through database matching and international business development
- Isolating - vetting for TOP 16, and approving TOP 5 every two weeks.
- Taking-down - completing 5 transactions every 2 weeks by lifting, shipping and delivering commodities.

SoOum Corp is managed by its board of directors. Executive managers oversee the profit and loss of each deal within the deal funnel, created and handled in three functions; Intelligence, Development and Solutions.
Vice Presidents direct every deal from start to finish employing data miners, business developers, and inspection teams as necessary to complete deals within earnings benchmarks set by the company.
