01: LOFTING + SURFACE

By lofting the curves and manipulating the lofted options in grasshopper allow one to explore other more interesting surfaces although the curves are of the same shape.

01: TRIANGULATION + VORONOI 2D

Triangulating surfaces and piping creates series of patterns which can act as canopy (as above) or even spaces for children to play in (as below)

01: VORONOI 3D

By scaling the sizes of each of the Voronoi cells, different openings and spacings are created which might be applicable to use as facade pattern where sunlight can be blocked or allowed to penetrate whenever needed.

By offsetting the edges of the Voronoi cells, interesting sections within a box can be created. This would be useful in terms of designing an interesting shelf with different sizes of spacings.

Manipulating the strength of the mesh geometry creates sharp corners organic geometry.

Morphing a surface with interesting geometries result in a curved surface with patternings on the surface which can contribute to aesthetics of architecture.

Sectioning allows one to create patterns on surface which is unpredictable depending on the curves used to cut the surface which result in different patternings depending on how you cut the surface.

Using surface divide to create points on the surface

Using populate geometry to create random points on the surface resulted in different patternings

Inputting different scripts for ‘cull pattern’ and ‘partition’ leads to even more significant difference in the patterns generated,.
