Somerset County’s Diversity Statement

The County of Somerset is home to a population of promising individuals from around

the world, making vibrant connections within Somerset County because of its diversity.

The County’s diversity is among our greatest assets.

Diversity is fundamental to everything we do in Somerset County. It is inclusive of not

only those who look different but those who may think differently.

When Somerset County recognizes, values, and embraces diversity, we recognize,

value and embrace the uniqueness of each individual.

Diversity is a variety of patterns which

includes but is not limited to values,

customs, differences, and similarities.

Inclusion is the proactive approach of

leveraging diversity by consciously

inviting, welcoming, respecting, and

engaging each other without bias.

Diversity without inclusion will not work.
