PRINCIPAL’S NEWS Here we are again at the end of another fantastic term. What a busy term we’ve had participating in National Tree Day, NAIDOC Day, Premier’s Debating Challenge, Athletics, Education Week, Todd Woodbridge Tennis Cup, Chess, an author visit, Life Education, Beach Smart talks, Super Hero Day, Premier’s Spelling Bee, Band Workshop, Small Schools Soccer Knockout and the Small Schools Spectacular….just to name a few! I’m sure you’ll all agree that these holidays will be well-deserved.
NSW Small Schools Soccer Knockout We made it! Finals day is happening today and we are all a bit excited! This is the third year in a row that the Somersby ‘Strikers’ have made the finals day and we are hoping to make it back-to-back wins.
A big thanks to our support crew who were able to come along on the team bus today and cheer on the side.
Keep an eye on our school Facebook page for results!
Share Our Space During week days of these school holidays our school grounds will once again be open for public use. A security guard will be on site to ensure there are no issues.
Farmer Friday Tomorrow we will be celebrating the last day of term by having a ‘Farmer Friday’ mufti day. Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as farmers for a gold coin donation. All proceeds will be donated to the ‘Buy a Bale of Hay’ charity.
Assembly Tomorrow afternoon our Year 6 Leaders will be running a whole school assembly from 2pm in the hall. All are welcome to come along.
Tell Them From Me Survey At this point in time we have only had 4 responses to our annual Tell Them From Me Survey. This is a chance for you to have a say in the things that you like and those that you think we could improve. Please follow the link below and fill in this quick survey.

Uniform Survey The results have been counted and they can be found in the P&C report. A big thank you to all who returned the survey and to the hard-working P&C for their time and effort they have put into this, it’s a huge undertaking!

School Website Today I am attending training for the new school website platform. It is also the day our school’s website will be migrated to the new site to go live. During this time, you might not be able to view some content from our old website (including this week’s newsletter). The newsletter can still be viewed on the school app. I apologise for any inconvenience during this change over period.

P&C News
Last week a survey went out asking whether we stay with our current gold
coloured polo or change to a new gold polo with black panelling. The survey re-
sults are in with 34 surveys being returned. The result was comprehensively in
favour of going to the new style polo by 31 votes to 3. We will order all new uni-
form and hopefully we will have it available for purchase in Term 1 of next year.
Country Fair - Notes will be going home in relation to helpers being needed at this
years Country Fair. Our school runs the show bag and lucky dip stand. All we ask is
for a couple of hours of your time selling the show bags at the stand on the Satur-
day or packing up in the afternoon or setting up the marquee on Friday. The Date
of the Country Fair is Saturday 20th October.
