Good morning (afternoon) Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to thank the VDMA to give us the chance to present our company at the Iran

Conmin Exebition.

My Name is Klaus Mirna, I am Manager for Special Projects in the Schwing-Stetter Group

and worldwide responsible for big projects.

In this presentation we want to show the advantange of using stationary concrete

placing equipment on an jobsite-example in Teheran. The Atlas Plaza Project, which is

build by Kayson.

1

Some facts about the building:

When the building is finished, it will have

in total 19 floors, 6 floors of parking, 4 floors of hyper markets and 9 floors of offices.

For the construction of the building the world‘s best materials are used.

2

Here we can see what the development will look like, when it is finished.

Kayson decided already in an early stage to use stationary placing booms SPB 32 from

Schwing and stationary pumps SP 2800 from Schwing to distribute the concrete on site.

3

The first meetings with Kayson were already end of february 2015 on site.

The best positions for the placing booms were located out and all technical details (like

loads on the slabs, on the raft and so on) were clarified.

From the beginning it was a very good partnership between Kayson and Schwing.

4

On the drawing we can see the planview of the building and the position of the placing

booms and cranes.

Also during this visit in February, we did a training for around 30 site engineers and work

preparation people.

This was one of the first times stationary equipment was used on a building site in Iran.

5

The advantage of using stationary concrete equipment on large spreaded jobsites is to

have a huge flexibility.

On jobsites like Atlas plaza it is often very difficult to get access with mobile concrete

pumps (truck mounted concrete pumps). So stationary placing booms are the best

choice.

The concrete can be pumped with the stationary concrete pump from any place of the

jobsite to the placing boom. So this gives flexibility and easy access for truck mixers.

Compared to casting the concrete with buckets, pumping is much faster, safer, it is a

continuous process and it safes crane times.

Schwing is one of the worlds famous manufacturer of this equipment. The SPB 32 is one

of the lightest booms with 32m reach in the market.

The SP 2800 stationary pump is one of the most sold stationary concrete pumps world

wide. The equipment is proofed on hundreds of jobsite around the world. Schwing

equipment guarantees you a long live, small wear and running costs. Our customers safe

a lot of money by using Schwing equipment.

6

The Installation of the placing booms started in Nov 2015.

Here we can see the SPB 32 with split connection. The split connection separates the

boom into two parts which can be lifted separately by crane. This reduces the weight of

the booms during installation and dismanteling.

So the required capacity of the cranes can be reduced. The customer can use a smaller

crane and safe money.

7

Here we can see the assembly of the column of the placing boom. The maximum length

of the column is 18m (3 x 6m). The boom can go up to 18m freestanding (when it is

anchored with a crossbase to the raft foundation), this installation was used at the

beginning of the project.

Later on the boom was fixed to the slabs.

8

The sketch on the left shows the installation on the raft with cross base and foundation

anchoring.

Later on the booms will be fixed in the slabs (shown on the right side).

The booms will be lifted up in the building by a hydraulic climbing device. So the booms

can climb up in the building from one floor to the next.

The boom is growing with the building hydraulically.

9

Here we can see the fixation to the raft with the cross base.

Normally the anchoring of the cross base is installed before casting the raft foundation.

In this case the raft was already casted.

Finally we found together with Kayson a good solution to fix the cross base to the raft.

10

Here we can see the Installation of the floor frames to support the column of the placing

boom in the slabs.

Due to some openings which were too big, an intermediate steel frame had to be

installed.

Normally the frame is fitted directly to the slab.

11

Casting on Site in Dec. 2015

With a placing boom walls and columns can be casted very fast. Outputrates from 30 to

40 m³/h can be achieved easily.

With a bucket max outputrates of 15m³/h are practicle.

So the placingboom with stationary pump is more than 2 times faster

We can use the cranes to do other works.

This safes the jobsite a lot of time and helps to finish the project.

12

Casting of colums:

Due to continious casting without interuption, the surface will be better than casting by

bucket.

This can be very interesting especially with architectural concrete.

13

Casting a slab:

In the slabs casting speeds up to 60 m³/h are possible.

This is an enormous time advantage compared to a cast with a bucket.

Additionally The operator of the boom can be on the ground an help the people at the

end hose.

14

A photo from April 2016.

Here we can see the 4 stationary placing booms out of operation.

The booms can be folded upright, so that they do not interfere with other works which

are done on site.

15

Here we can see a photo from August 2016:

The Stationary concrete Pump SP 2800 is located outside of the building. The delivery

lines are going in the building to the stationary placing booms.

The concrete pumps can be located outsite the building to be flexible and have easy

access with the truck mixers which deliver the concrete to the concrete pump.

The SP 2800 is one of the most sold stationary concrete pumps of Schwing. Depending

on the concrete the pump is able to pump vertically up to 150m height. Horizontally

500m or even more are possible. So the pump can be used for most of the application

which occur.

Due to the Schwing-Rockvalve-System, the pump is very low in running costs and is

saving the customer money on each pumped m³ of concrete.

16

17

Another Foto from the site from August 2016 where the building reached already the

5th floor. The project is continously proceeding.

18

A photo of some people from site:

This jobsite will be a great success, due to a very good teamwork between Kayson,

Schwing-Stetter Pars, which is our Dealer in Iran, and the Schwing Stetter headquater in

Germany.

19

Schwing-Stetter is one of the only companies providing solution for the entire concrete

chain.

We manufacture batching plants to mix the concrete. We have truck-mixers to transport

the concrete from the batching plant to the site. And we build concrete pumps to

distribute the concrete on site.

We produce all kind of concrete placing equipment like Truck-mounted pumps,

Truckmixer pumps and stationary concreting pumps and concrete placing booms, like

shown in the presentation.

We also have cooling solutions and Ice-plants to cool down the fresh-concrete

termperature in hot areas.

To dispose concrete Schwing-Stetter is even offering Recycling plants.

20

Schwing concreting equipment is known on all big projects all over the world for more

than 60 years.

Schwing-Stetter is very proud to participate together with Kayson at this interesting

jobsite in Teheran.

Thank you very much.
