The woman in the picture on the right is the lead singer in an Indie band called ‘daughter’ - Elena Tonra. As you can see both women are looking sideways into the distance; I wanted the awkward/mysterious looking away look and with Katie I was able to portray that. I didn’t want Katie looking full on sideways like Elena is, as I wanted her face to be seen because of her make up and also so it is clear that she is looking into the distance. The colour scheme for this picture is originally black and white but instead I decided to keep with the dark theme and keep with the black and white but use colour and have a black and white background. Katie is also wearing black and has dark brown/black hair just as Elena is. To create this colour scheme I had Katie sit in front of a window which has a white frame and it was dark outside therefore the black background. You cannot see Elena Tonra’s make up on her picture but I went for the typical indie make up look on Katie which is what I would Imagine Elena would be wearing.

The 4 men in the picture on the right are Indie band ‘Bombay Bicycle club’. I planned to have 4 boys in my original image but unfortunately one of the boys couldn’t make it so I decide to continue with 3 and still managed to create the look. All of their facial expressions show that they are laid back and relaxed, this is in comparison with the Bombay Bicycle club image, they’re all very laid back and relaxed but they look more happy and smiley, with my original image I decided to tone that down and continue with the mysterious theme as I did with my image of Katie. The colour schemes on both images are similar because theyre all in places that are light and have light backgrounds yet the images both still appear to be dark which links in with the mysterious theme also. The angle of shots are the same, they are both medium shots and are looking straight at the boys. I made sure the boys hair was in comparison to the Bombay Image as you can see each of the 3 boys hair is similar to one of the Bombay members. As I cannot do their make up I used their hair to create an indie style. Also I made sure the boys all dressed in what would be classed as ‘Indie’ styled clothes, which are the sort of clothes that Bombay Bicycle Club would usually wear.
