The development of Solvent Extraction Processes over recent years has led to the introduction of new extraction processes and equipments and in turn has increased its application in many extraction units including Metal extraction Plants. One of the most sought after and efficient extractor is Mixer Settler.

Mixer settler is a typical arrangement used to remove or extract a particular component from one liquid phase to another. This is generally called as Liquid-Liquid extraction. It consist of –

I. Mixer a. Rectangular or circular.b. With or Without Baffles.c. Inlet Sump (Separate for Aqueous & Organic)d. False Bottom Plate.

II. Settlera. Weir Gates.b. Organic Overflow Chamber.c. Aqueous Level weir pipe.d. Recycle of Aqueous or Organic.

MIXER SETTLER

MIXER SETTLER

 The key to an efficient mixing system is the impeller. For each application there is an ideal impeller. Coroseal uniquely placed to offer effective solutions for all application areas. Coroseal’s commitment to mixing application has helped to create a unique, modern, spectrum of impellers, which meet the needs of processes accurately and efficiently. The use of coroseal impellers has generated lower capital and operating costs for many customers.

Most Ideal Impeller used in Mixer for solvent extraction is Pump Mix type, which can be straight or curve blades.
