Temperature of fire usually greater than 8000C, steel structures lose thebaring capacity. The purpose of steel structural fire design fire is tomaintain the durability of structure for people to escape safely frombuilding in order to minimize the damage of people.

In Vietnam, the design norm offers five different level, depending on fireresistance of main members of structure.
