SolutionNote that for technical reasons the Solution Manager Content for SAP SRMreferences SAP NetWeaver 7.0 in the Product Group settings instead of SAPNetWeaver 7.01. This has no effect on the configuration documentation, butwhen you set up your project in SAP Solution Manager, you need to set thesystem links to your SAP Netweaver 7.01 server.
To set up the project, proceed as follows:
1. Install Solution Manager.Upload the Solution Manager Content. Note that you cannot upload thecontent for your particular area only; you must upload the entire SAPSolution Manager Content. The steps below describe how to set up thecontent specific to your company.
2. Download Solution Manager Content
Note that you cannot download the content for your particular areaonly; you must download the entire SAP Solution Manager Content. Thesteps below describe how to set up the content specific to yourcompany.
The Solution manager Content can be downloaded at:
http://service.sap.com/installations
Select Entry by Application group --> SAP Technology Components -->SAP Solution Manager --> <Solution Manager Release> --> Content -->ST-ICO
Typically only the latest content release is available. It alsocontains all information from previous releases. You need SolutionManager version 7.0.

3. Set up your system landscape using the transaction SMSY. The relevantsystems for SRM 7.0 are:
o Product [Main Instance]
o SAP SRM (WITH SAP EBP) [SRM Server]
o SAP ECC [ECC Server]
o SAP NETWEAVER [AS ABAP]
o SAP NETWEAVER [BI]
o SAP NETWEAVER [EP Content]
o SAP NETWEAVER [AS Java]
o SAP NETWEAVER [XI Exchange Infrastructure]
o SAP CPROJECT SUITE [cProject Suite]
o SAP SRM (WITH SAP EBP) [TREX]
o SAP SOLUTION MANAGER [SAP Solution Manager]
o If relevant, the MDM server and other relevant instances related toMDM
4. In transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN, add all the necessary information,including the systems you previously defined in SMSY, by choosing thelogical components that you have assigned to your systems in SMSY.
5. In transaction SOLAR01, select the node Business Scenarios in theleft-hand side of the screen and the Structure tab on the right-handside of the screen. Place your cursor on the first line below ScenarioName and press the key F4. Now go to Solutions -> SAP SRM and selectthe checkbox(es) next to the scenario(s) that you want to implement.(Note: You should only select scenarios that are not grayed out, asthey correspond best to the system landscape you have set up.)
6. In transaction SOLAR02, add the basic configuration settings byclicking on the Configuration node, choosing the Structure tab page,and then choosing Change Configuration Structure.Place your cursor on the first line below Configuration Element andpress the F4 key. Choose SAP SRM and select the checkbox for "SAP SRM7.0"Optional step - only if you want to use cFolders: choose "SAP PLM" andselect the checkbox for "SAP cProjects Suite 4.00"Optional step - only if you require further information about therelated Netweaver Components: choose "Basic Configuration" and select

the checkbox for the relevant NetWeaver version.
7. Select Back (F3) once, refresh the screen and choose Save.Now you can use the transaction SOLAR02 to configure your systems.You can also print out a Configuration Guide.
When using the content for an implementation project, note that it is splitinto two groups:
o Basic configuration:This group contains basic configuration for SAP SRM, and for eachSRM scenario, and can be found below the node "Configuration" inSOLAR02. The tab page "Configuration" includes all relevantconfiguration information.
o Business scenario, business processes, and business process steps:This group can be found below the node "Business Scenarios" inSOLAR02 and has the following function:
TroubleshootingIf you find that texts are missing in SOLAR01 or SOLAR02, chooseEnvironment -> Update Component System Texts.
To use the transactions on the "Transactions" tab page in SOLAR02, you mustspecify the variable (for example, EBP_ITS). You do this in transactionSM30 in SAP Solution Manager by editing the table "SSM_VAR". Important: youneed to add the information in the column "Field Attributes", which is onlyvisible if you scroll to the right.
