Proper bearing and gear lubrication is essen-tial for reliable operation of all machinery. The main purpose of oil circulation lubrication is to lubricate and reduce friction in the target (to form an oil film between the moving parts), to transfer heat and contaminants (water and debris) away, and to protect the target from corrosion.
It is estimated that 40 – 60% of bearing fail-ures are caused by insufficient lubrication and lubricant contamination.

The Kytola® Oval Gear Meter Model SR is designed and developed for lubrication oil measurement in demanding industrial environ-ments.
Kytola SR Oval Gear Flow Meters measure oil flow rates with 100% reliability. The SR meter is a true positive displacement meter that always shows the correct flow rate on the whole measurement range, regardless of oil temperature and viscosity changes.
The SR Oval Gear Meters have a by-pass valve that enables service on the run without need for downtime. They are superior in continu-ously lubricating the bearing, even if gears jam.

The SRV is especially designed and optimized for upgrading the existing Kytola model V vari-able area flow meter. The upgrade is easy and cost-effective since it does not require any changes to the existing piping.
The Model SRV Oval Gear Meter is a positive displacement meter, which always shows the correct flow rate regardless of oil temperature or viscosity changes. It enables versatile flow and flow alarm monitoring and connectivity to upper control systems.

Kytola Oval D2 Measuring Station
Kytola® Oval D2 Measuring Station is designed to monitor oil flow rates measured by Model SR oval gear meters in circulation lubrication systems.
The Oval D2 measuring station operates as an independent station, and it can be connected to Kytola KVMControl monitoring software or to customer’s PLC or DCS via Modbus RTU protocol.
The state-of-art features make monitoring easy and reliable. The measuring station is suitable for harshest conditions as the robust enclosure protects from external wear.

The Kytola® Oval Min-E Local Display Unit is designed to monitor and display flow rates and flow alarms measured by Kytola oval gear meters or other flow meters with pulse out-puts.
Oval Min-E can operate as a local display or connected to Kytola KVMControl monitoring software, or to customers’ PLC or DCS.

Oil Supply Manifold
The Oval Flow panels with Oval D2 measuring stations and SR oval gear flow meters are ideal for oil flow monitoring in large processes where hundreds, or even thousands, of lubrication points are used. The panel has a sturdy stainless steel construction, especially designed to with-stand the harsh conditions in process industry.

Kytola KVMControl Monitoring Software
STANDARD FEATURESIn excess of 100 measuring stations can be connected to the host computer via a serial communication line.
All the data read by Oval D2 measuring stations is available in KVMControl. In addition, the program displays- Alarm history- Flow trend of all measuring points – momentary and history
OPC server available, enables connection to customer’s DCS.
The KVMControl monitoring program is an online application for the Kytola oil lubrication monitoring system. It provides online flow and alarm information from model SR oval gear flow meters. It is easy to install and offers reliable user-friendly operation. Typical applications are lubrication oil monitoring, industrial oil flow monitoring and process control.

Kytola® Oilan A4 is an online oil water content analyzer which instantly shows changes in the lubrication oil water content. Kytola Oilcol Oil Color Analyzer
Kytola® Oilcol Oil Color Analyzer is an online instrument based on visible light absorbance (transmittance) to indicate the ASTM D1500 color value of oil.
As the measurement is performed online, the response is continuous and fast, which can be crucial in order to detect sudden changes in oil quality and further to be able to react before any failures of the oilusing equipment occur. Timeconsuming and expensive sampling and laboratory analyses are also avoided.
