INTRODUCTION SOLEIL –Scania Outbound Logistics Exchange Information on-Line – is a web based system, which should be used as interface between Scania Delivery Functions, carriers and distributors for accessing and sharing information regarding the distribution process. A WEB APPLICATION FOR THE DISTRIBUTORS & DEALERS This web application allows following the status of the chassis and their transportation. So, it is important to note that the way of working of the distributor and dealer doesn’t change, but it will be easiest for them to obtain information regarding the chassis, by looking in Soleil. A WEB APPLICATION FOR THE CARRIERS & SEA LINERS This web application gives the carriers and sea liners the possibility to view which chassis that will be ready for pick-up, are ready for pick-up and view chassis that already has been delivered. It is also possible to enter information after each unloading for a better tracibility of the transportation. You can also enter comments if you have a delay or even mark chassis that has received a damage during the transport. A WEB APPLICATION FOR THE DELIVERY FUNCTIONS (SCANIA) The Scania users can do everything that the distributors/dealers and the carriers/sea liners can do. Besides that the Scania users can view and perform some activities that other user’s don’t have any need for. Example of activities that Scania can do is to mark and release chassis with delivery stop in order to signal to the carriers that the chassis shall not be picked-up yet.

FILTERS Note: Some filters only exist for some user types and not for all users. The user can combine one or more filters in the different screens to retrieve the specific information:

• ALD select a period between two dates.

• BKD select a period for booking date.

• Booking no enter a part of or the complete booking number.

• Carrier select a carrier in the combo box.

• Del.degree select assembly level in the combo box.

• CRD select a period between two dates.

• CDD select a period between two dates.

• Chassis number the user can key in a part or the complete chassis number.

• if selected only prioritized chassis will be shown.

• Delivery status select a status in the combo box.

• Order type select a status in the combo box.

• ELP the user can key in a part or the complete ELP (pick-up trailer id-plate).

• ETA select a period between two dates.

• IUD/ADD select a period between two dates. The reason that IUD/ADD is in the same field is that “the real delivery date” is in focus here. The delivery date in reality is called IUD if you are a multiple leg carrier that drives any route that is not the last one. If you are the last carrier in the chain or if you are driving a single leg transport, then your ‘real delivery date’ is the ADD-date.

• IDD/CDD select a period between two dates. The reason that IDD/CDD is in the same field is that “the target date” is in focus here. The target date to fulfil is the IDD if you are a multiple leg carrier that drives any route that is not the last one. If you are the last carrier in the chain or if you are driving a single leg transport, then your target date is the CDD-date.

• Market select a market in the combo box.

• Dealer write a dealer if you like to see chassis for a specific dealer.

• Delivery country select a delivery country in the combo box.

• PRU select a production unit in the combo box.

• PLD Planned Loading Date, select a period between two dates.

• Truck/Bus Select Truck or Bus for the specific search you want to do. Press the ‘Search’ button to activate the search. The chassis are displayed taking account of the criteria in the filters. If no filters are used, the search will return all the chassis that are available in the correct status.
