World Class Centre in Solar Thermal EnergyFabrisolia S.L.U. makes available for the entire BDR Thermea Group a World Class Centre in Solar Thermal Energy in Castellbisbal (Barcelona), and it is the most modern solar panel manufacturing plant globally. With a 10,000 m2 area, it has a solar panel production capacity of up to 150,000 m2/year.

The company is the largest manufacturer and exporter of solar collectors in Spain, with 80% of its production allocated to international markets including Portugal, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Poland, and England, among others.

Thanks to the investments made by the Group and the com-pany’s commitment towards maintaining its leadership in the development of efficient climate solutions, the centre has be-come a benchmark across international markets.

In addition, it is designed to be perfectly integrated into the architecture of the building, with its reduced thickness protruding less from the roof.

MOUNTING SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIESThe range of mounting systems for SOL, Mediterráneo and SLIM collectors are designed to reduce installation times to a minimum. Aluminium construction to ensure a long service life.

The mounting systems are supplied pre-assembled at the factory, so installation time is minimal.

MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR FLAT ROOF

Allows the slope to be varied from 30° to 55°.

For rows of more than two collectors supplements must be fitted from the third collector onwards. For example, in a row of 5 collectors, one support must be fitted for every two collectors and three supplements.

MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR SLOPING ROOFSFor rows of more than two collectors supplements must be fitted from the third collector onwards. For example, in a row of 5 collectors, one support must be fitted for every two collectors and three supplements.

Fitting for tile mounting. The mounting kit allows you to install the mounting systems for sloping roofs. Sloping roof mounting systems are supplied with an accessory for fitting screws through the tile. Additional accessory may also be supplied which allows the mounting systems to be fitted without the need to drill holes in the tile. It is designed to be installed with any type of tile.

SOLAR EASY DHWThe range of Solar Easy DHW systems represents a revolu-tionary new “Plug & Play” concept, ready to get the most benefit from solar thermal energy.

The smallest possible space houses the hydraulic set, the expansion tank and the control unit. Fully connected and wired to form a single whole.

The range comprises 14 different systems combining 160, 200, 300, 400 and 500 litre storage tanks, with the SOL 200, SOL 250, Mediterráneo SLIM 200 and Mediterráneo SLIM 250 collectors.

Benefits of the system:

• Easy to install: You only need to connect the pipe from the storage tank to the solar collectors.

• Minimum space required: The storage tank integrates all components needed for installation, thus taking up the minimum possible space.

• With overheating protection: There is no need to install any system for eliminating surplus heat, since it has a nighttime recirculation system for the elimination of surplus heat, as well as a built-in oversized expansion vessel.

• With antifreeze system: The control unit has a built-in pre-programmed anti-freeze system.

SOLAR EASY DHW SYSTEMS FOR CENTRAL HEATING AND POOLSSOLAR EASY DHW, heating and pools and central heating systems comprise everything you need to build a solar DHW system with central heating backup.

The SOLAR EASY DHW central heating and pool systems comprise all the elements needed to install a solar DHW system with backup for both central heating and the pool. Incorporates the plate heat exchanger and regulation needed for pool heating.

The site includes a storage tank-in-a-tank, that is, a storage tank in which the bottom part is used as a thermal inertia tank and the upper tank is used for the production of DHW.

The control unit controls all elements of the installation, including the solar circuit circulator (starts and stops depending on the storage tank temperature and solar collector), and the three-way valve in the heating circuit (opens and closes the storage tank depending on the temperature the tank and the return heating water).

There is no need to install any system for eliminating surplus heat. Nighttime recirculation system preprogrammed in the control unit for the elimination of surplus heat, and an over-sized expansion vessel.

Antifreeze and overheating protection system pre-pro-grammed into the control unit.

THERMOSYPHON SYSTEMS. STS 150/200 2.0/200 2.5/300The Thermosyphonic System is the ideal solution for pro-viding compact and low cost water heated by the action of sunlight, especially in areas with a high level of solar radia-tion and a suitable climate.

Fully autonomous operation of the thermosyphon is based on the principle of natural circulation, so there is no need for a circulator or a regulation system.

The bracket and fittings provided make it easy and conven-ient to install the equipment directly on a flat roof or on the same slope as a pitched roof.

A thermostatic mixer must be installed to combine tap water and hot water from the solar tank to achieve the most com-fortable water temperature.

SUPPLY FORMAT

Supplied in 3 packages. Solar collector, storage tank, mounting system and

accessories (including relief valve set to 8 bar). Solar fluid not included.

SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE TANKSStorage tanks for AS 90/160-1E and AS 200/500-2EThe AS 90-1E, AS 120-1E, AS 160-1E, AS 200-2E, AS 300-2E, AS 400-2E and AS 500-2E storage tanks, are designed for hot water production using thermal solar energy. Polyurethane foam insulation. With two coils. To avoid possible corrosion problems, a magnesium anode is fitted, connected to an anode tester for checking the degree of wear. Optionally a 2.5 kW electrical resistance may be supplied.

DHW AND HEATING TANKSThe range of hot water tanks is ideal for the production of hot water for combined applications (domestic hot water + central heating).

This solution optimizes the available space and installation cost, leading to maximum energy savings.

The range, made of enamelled steel, has two models with 800 and 1000 litres of total capacity.

The application of solar thermal energy for the heating of sanitary hot water in residential buildings substantially increases the energy efficiency of the building, leading to significant savings.

Various solutions exist, depending on the type of building, to maximise the efficiency of the system.

The installation of solar thermal energy in hotels for both hot water and swimming pools, can handle a very high proportion of the energy needs of the hotel, providing considerable savings.

In the industrial and residential sectors solar thermal energy is used as an ideal backup for geothermal energy.

There is a huge variety of industrial applica-tions (mining, wine industry, food industry, greenhouses, laundries, etc ...) which in-volve processes needing a supply of medi-um temperature hot water. The use of solar energy for these applications makes above mentioned processes more efficient with much lower energy costs.

MOUNTING SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIESThe range of mounting systems for SOL, Mediterráneo and SLIM collectors are designed to reduce installation times to a minimum. Aluminium construction to ensure a long service life.

The mounting systems are supplied pre-assembled at the factory, so installation time is minimal.

Allows the slope to be varied from 30° to 55°.

Fitting for tile mounting. The mounting kit allows you to install the mounting systems for sloping roofs. Sloping roof mounting systems are supplied with an accessory for fitting screws through the tile. An accessory may also be supplied which allows the bracket to be fitted without the need to drill holes in the tile. It is designed to be installed with any type of tile.
