INTRODUCTION The Solar System is one of the biggest thinks that the humans have investigate in the pass of the times, Platon, Aristoteles, Nicolas Copernicos, Galileo Galilei, and others. All this people have found and study the Solar System and the stars. The Solar System have 8 planets called Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The solar system have also stars, the most bigger star is called Sun, The moon is a star that revolve around the Earth, and the solar system have plantes called little planets that are Pluto, Sedna, Charon, etc…. The Sun co0ntains 99.85% of all the matter in the Solar System. The planets, which condensed out of the same disk of material that formed the Sun, contain only 0.135% of the mass of the solar system. Jupiter contains more than twice the matter of all the other planets combined. Satellites of the planets, comets, asteroids, meteoroids, and the interplanetary medium constitute the remaining 0.015%. The following table is a list of the mass distribution within our Solar System. The solar system have different types of planets like Jovian Planets. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are known as the Jovian planets, because they are all gigantic compared with Earth, and they have a gaseous nature like Jupiter's. The Jovian planets are also referred to as the gas giants, although some or all of them might have small solid cores. The following diagram shows the approximate distance of the Jovian planets to the Sun.

FACTS

Page 4: Solar System - Planet Research

SUN

• At its center the Sun reaches temperatures of 15 million °C.• The Sun is all the colors mixed together, this appears white to our eyes.• The Sun is mostly composed of hydrogen (70%) and Helium (28%).

Page 5: Solar System - Planet Research

MERCURY

• Mercury does not have any moons or rings.• Your weight on Mercury would be 38% of your weight on Earth.• A day on the surface of Mercury lasts 176 Earth days.

Page 6: Solar System - Planet Research

VENUS

• Venus does not have any moons or rings.• Venus is nearly as big as the Earth with a diameter of 12,104 km.• Venus is thought to be made up of a central iron core, rocky mantle and

silicate crust.

Page 7: Solar System - Planet Research

EARTH

• The name earth cames from the Old English Word “ertha”.• The earth was formed somewhere around 4.54 years ago.• The distances from the earth to the moon is around 1.000 km.

Page 8: Solar System - Planet Research

MARS

• The name Mars comes from a mythology god, the roman god of the war and Mars is called the Red Planet.

• Mars is the second smallest planet behind Mercury.• Mars is the last planet of the called Terrestrial Planets.

Page 9: Solar System - Planet Research

JUPITER

• Jupiter is the biggest planet of the Solar System.• Jupiter is 317 times bigger than the earth.• The distance from the earth to Jupiter is around 12.000 km.

Page 10: Solar System - Planet Research

SATURN

• Saturn is the second biggest planet of the Solar System.• The named Saturn comes from a roman mythology god.• The surface of the temperature is about - 139 °C

Page 11: Solar System - Planet Research

URANUS

• Was discovered by an astronomer called Sir William Hershel in 1781.• Uranus makes one trip around the Sun every 84 Earth years.• Uranus have 27 moons.

Page 12: Solar System - Planet Research

NEPTUNE

• Uranus is the last planet known.• Neptune is called by the roman mythology god Neptune “God of the sea”.• Have 14 moons.

Page 13: Solar System - Planet Research

PLUTO

• Pluto is now known by one of the planets called Dark or Little Planets. • A 11 year old girl give him the name Pluto.• Pluto has a heart shape on its surface.

CONCLUSION

• We learn that our planet is not that interesting than the other, the planets are more interesting like Pluto, a 11 years old girl give the name, or mars we don’t now that is call the Red Planet . In this period of time we learn more about the planets like the diameter, there temperature, etc. When we began this final activity we was thinking that the earth was the only planet that it was interesting but we are wrong all the planets are beautiful and have their mystery, and now we want to know more about it.

 • The solar system is one of the biggest interesting subjects that the humans have study in the

past of the time, is one of the biggest questions that humans are searching for. The planets have been study and investigated to found resources and living things to begin a study in other planet having the things that we found in the earth. The planets have different characteristics because the location in the solar system, if the planets are more close to the sun is hotter but if the planet is far away from the sun is going to be very cold.
