June 28, 2013 Thru:Subject : Gentleman: Following your request, we are pleased to submit herewith our proposal to undertake subsoil investigation at the above-mentioned project, as follows: 1. Scope of Work 1.1 Soil Boring As required, we shall drill an aggregate total depth of One Hundred Twenty (120.0) meters for Six (6.0) boreholes. Each hole shall be drilled at an average depth of Twenty (20.0) meters. A hole may be terminated at a shallower depth if it indicates thick and sound rock formation at such depth. Soil samples will be obtained at an interval not exceeding 1.5 meters using standard split spoon sampler, and double tube core barrel for rock cores. Simultaneously, standard penetration test will be performed with each sampling. In soft cohesive layer, undisturbed samples will be obtained by shelby tube sampler. Where rock, boulder or gravelly layer formation are encountered, coring shall be performed to obtain at least an NQ core size. Complete log of the boring shall be made by our Field Engineer and this will include the depth and identification of samples obtained, SPT values, percent recovery water level measurement during the time and at the end of drilling. 1.2 Laboratory Testing Laboratory testing in accordance with the standard requirements and procedures shall be performed on the soil samples obtained to ascertain the type of soil encountered and to determine a sound economic design criteria for the proposed structure. 1.3 Report Three (3) bound copies of geotechnical report shall be submitted to the Client after the completion of field works and laboratory testing. The report shall contain among other things the description of the work, subsoil findings, laboratory test results, and other soil data required for the design, including liquefaction and pile analysis. 2.0 Cost Our cost includes salaries, per diems, equipment depreciation and other incidental expenses relative to this investigation.
