• Sofia University is a partner in EM Basileus IV project, directed toward academic exchange with universities on the Balkan peninsula, managed by the University of Ghent
• As a language oriented faculty we are very active users of Erasmus bilateral agreements : out of 428 for the whole university, 81 are signed with our faculty
Credit recognition

• As per Erasmus requirements our students are expected to earn 30 credits per semester during their Erasmus mobility.
• All credits earned abroad are duly recognized as per the relevant academic record transcript
• Those subjects which match the compulsory study plan are recognized as such, all the rest are deemed optional (their names are explicitly mentioned in the final diploma’s annex)
• All foreign students coming to Bulgaria on an Erasmus mobility program are given at the end of their stay an official transcript in English of their academic record

• By default B2 level is expected (but some courses can be harder to follow than others)
• No certificate is required
