Davis %°, P.-, Society offers free trip to ii Mexico City To add impetus to the already successful AOCS President's Club and Honor Roll membership campaign, the Society's Governing Board announced in New Orleans a special prize drawing for all members who i recruit at least one new member during the 1973 :ii i membership year. The President's Club and Honor Roll, announced in iiii early 1973, resulted in the approval of 246 new member ~i i applications at the New Orleans meeting. This is more :::: than double the usual number approved by the Govern- iiii ing Board at the annual spring meeting. In addition, iiii nearly 100 new applications have been received since that time. ,%' .... '-" To date, 15 members have qualified for the Honor :i:i Roll by recruiting at least three new members. The first three prizes are transferable and may be :iii used for a later AOCS meeting if the winner so desires. ::::

Rules governing the drawing are quite simple: (1) Any AOCS member who recruits one or more new ,'.' ,%'

members will receive one chance per new member i.::'i recruited. (2) New applications must include the name ::,: of the inviting member for that person to be eligible for the drawing. (3) Signed new member applications must :::: be received September 13, 1973, to be iii~ on or before eligible. (4) For a reactivated member to be considered ~': new, he must have been inactive for at least 1 year prior to January 1, 1973. (5) All current 1973 President's :::: Club or Honor Roll members are retroactively eligible "~ for the drawing. N '.%

Of course, the winner need not be present at the ":;: drawing, but the presence of all Club and Honor Roll iii members is encouraged-especially since there will be other special activities planned for them at the Chicago }:i: meeting. '%'...
