OUTREACH EVENTS

Pitt SWE is dedicated to serving our community by providing free STEM outreach to students in elementary school up through high school. Elementary and Middle School events begin with a STEM exposition, where outside organizations are invited to give an experiment or demonstration. Company sponsors are invited to host a booth during this time. Then, students practice the fundamentals of engineering (team work, problem solving, creativity) through hands-on challenges. High school events are geared towards educating students on the engineering disciplines. Students also tour Pitt’s engineering building and laboratories. Company representatives are invited to participate in a Q&A panel or present a keynote speech.

Signature Events

• Elementary Engineering Extravaganza

• Girls Engineering in Middle School

• High School Engineering Day

• Girl Scout Engineering Day
