• The students will develop the laws of the classroom.

• Have each student come up with a school plan that will give the students more rights and present to class.
• Determine between opinion and fact. The students will give me statements and I will write them on the opinion or fact side of the board.
• Divide the class into four groups. give each group an issue to investigate and the have them present it to the class.
• Hold a class election. Have candidates speak to the class. Have students vote and give reasons why they picked the candidate.
• The students will write the mayor or governor about a specific issue. They will then give a report in front of the class about the response they received.
It is important that students understand the city, state and
country in which they live. Through the presentation, I was able to give examples and web
sites that will help develop students knowledge in social
studies.
