Welcome to the Social Mobile Payments: Americas, the first US-based conference designed to serve as a forum and

roadmap for senior-level executives looking to identify the preeminent and most profitable way to deliver future

products, services and distribution strategies utilizing social media, mobile connectivity and payment technologies.

In the US, social media and payment technology markets are still quite nascent, while the mobile connectivity market

is well positioned to benefit from a variety of factors, including the growth of mobile broadband, burgeoning tablet sales

and an explosive Smartphone market.

Nonetheless significant hurdles in achieving mass adoption of mobile financial services remain; a lack of ROI among

mobile payment deployments, the absence of a true “killer mobile wallet” and an uncertain regulatory environment.
