LOGIN
Navigate to LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com) and login to your account.
POST CONTENT
After logged into your LinkedIn account, your feed is displayed. At the top of the page are the tools to create a new LinkedIn post.

Click on Start a Post and a window will pop-up where you can start typing your post.
Pro Tip: If you’re posting about a conference, include the conference hashtag by clicking on Add Hashtag. In the content box, a hashtag will appear. Start typing the hashtag and a drop-down menu will appear. If the desired hashtag appears, click on it to add it to the post. Note: Not all hashtags will appear in the drop-down menu.

In addition to being able to share text, you can share an image, video or document by clicking on the icons at the bottom of the window.
Once your message is complete, click Next.

Choose who will be able to view your post. Options:
• Anyone: This will be posted on your wall for everyone to see • Anyone + Twitter: If you’re connected to Twitter, you can share your post on Twitter as well • Connections only: Only the people are connected to will see this post – it will not appear on
your wall • Groups: If you’re involved in any groups, they will be listed next and you can choose to share
your post there as well
Note: You can only choose one option. If you’d like to share your post in multiple areas, you will need to make a copy of it and go through these same steps again.
Once option is chosen for who will see your post, click Post.

SHARE POST FROM ISPE COMPANY PAGE OR ANY POST
Navigate to the ISPE company page by searching for ISPE in the search bar in the upper left-hand corner and click on the ISPE COMPANY page when it displays in the search results.
Here is the link to the ISPE company page for quick reference as well - https://www.linkedin.com/company/ispe/.
Once on the page, scroll down to find the post you’d like to share. At the bottom of the post are three options:
1. Link 2. Comment 3. Share

Click Share and new window will pop open. Approaches for sharing content:
1. Recommended Approach: Add a personalized message to the top of the post before sharing to give your followers some context around why you feel this post is important to share with your followers and click Post.
2. Alternative Approach: Click on Post at the bottom of the window.

LIKE OR COMMENT ON POST
Additional ways to engage with a post is to Like or Comment on the post.
To Like a post, click on the thumbs up icon at the bottom of the post
To Comment on a post, click Comment icon and a new box will pop up below. Start typing comment and a Post button will appear. Click on Post once comment is completed.

SHARING VIA ISPE WEBSITE
To share a page on LinkedIn, select the icon on the right side of the page.
To change the description of the post, select Edit.
To post with out the provided thumbnail, uncheck the Include photo option.
Share an update or mention someone in the text box using the @... function. Start typing the LinkedIn user’s name and the site will automatically start a search for the LinkedIn user profile.

Choose to share with Public or Connections.

Use the Post to groups and/or Send to individuals options to select specific recipients.
Once all necessary sharing options have been added, click Share.

To email a page to a friend, select the icon.
Add the email addresses in the To and From fields. The Note area is optional. Click the I’m not a robot option, then Send.
Please note: The Subject field is not editable.

Share a link with your Twitter followers by selecting the icon.
Edits can be made in the text area. Enter your username and password. Then select Log in and Tweet.

To share a link on Facebook, select the icon.
Log in to your Facebook account. Use the dropdown menu on the top left corner of the page to choose to:
• Share on Your Timeline • Share on a Friend’s Timeline • Share in a Group • Share in an Event • Share in a Private Message

Optional: add comments to the post in the Say something about this… text box.
Click the button at the bottom right to choose who can see your post. Options include:
• Public – Anyone on or off Facebook • Friends – Your friends on Facebook • Friends except… - Don’t show to some friends • Specific friends • Only me • Custom – Include and exclude friends and lists

To share the link, click the Post to Facebook button at the bottom right corner.

ADDITIONAL SHARING FUNCTIONS
To reach a list of additional sharing functions, select the icon. If a sharing service doesn’t appear in the list of options, use Find a service to locate a sharing function.
