This is Richard… aka Rikkichard
He has a talent in photography…
He wants to be a freelance photographer…
But how does he do this when so many other people have the same dream???
Social Media
With Social Media his dream has more of a chance to come true…
But where does he start?
There are so many social networking sites…
So which sites are useful to him?
Flickr
• Flickr allows you to upload and share your photography work with other users…
• Gaining insight and knowledge on what other users think of your work, and seeing their work too.
• You can tweet your images directly from Flickr through Twitter, allowing other users to see your work.
Wordpress
• Give the viewers an insight on your work.• Tell them your passion.• Blog your images, and appreciate the feedback.
Forums
• Join a forum dedicated to photography.• Discuss your work and techniques with other
users.• Take in the feedback that other users give.
Be as active as you can…
• It is important to upload work on a regular basis.
• Tweet regularly.• And blog regularly.• This shows the viewers you are dedicated, and
you always have something new to offer.
What will come of this?
• With time and dedication, there is hope that you will get recognition for your talent.
• You could become popular on the social networking sites.
• You could be contacted by an organisation willing to take you on as a freelance photographer.
