5. PROMOTE YOUR OFFERS

If you decide to offer a special offer promote it on all social channels and at your physical location with Foursquare's printable window sign displays (available on their website).

3. USE LOCAL UPDATES

If you want to share updates about your business avoid leaving tips on your own listing since this is a place for customers to write recommendation about your business for other users.

Instead, use Local Updates, a tool within platform that allows you to tell customers about timely news, events, sales & discount or news items.

Updates are displayed on your venue when users check in at your business.

4. OFFER CLEAR REWARD

Be sure to identify your "offer", if you're running special.

Just note that Foursquare does not allow businesses to run specials where customers must call for more information, that only include a 'welcome' or 'have a good day' message, or offer a physical reward like a high five or a hug
