CREATING AMBASSADORS

Hi,  (insert  name)

Just  wanted  to  let  you  know  about  (insert  story/event  here).  Since  this  is  (something  of  note  that’s  happening  in  your  department/college/area)  we  thought  you  would  be  interested  in  checking  this  out  and  hopefully  sharing  it  with  others.

Here’s  the  link  to  the  story:

(insert  link)

Feel  free  to  forward  the  above  link  along  to  others  you  think  would  be  interested  in  this.  In  today’s  world  of  social  media,  we  especially  hope  you  would  share  this  via  any  social  media  platforms  you  use.

Here’s  a  post  to  share  on  Facebook:  (insert  link)

Here’s  something  you  can  retweet  on  Twitter:  (insert  link)

Here’s  the  YouTube  video:  (insert  link)

It  may  seem  like  a  little  thing,  but  by  sharing  this  content  via  social  media,  you’re  increasing  the  university’s  reach  exponentially.  The  average  Facebook  user  has  140  friends.  And  each  of  those  friends  have  an  average  of  140  friends.  And  each  of  THOSE  friends  have  …  well,  you  get  the  idea.  The  bottom  line  is  that  by  working  together,  and  sharing  this  content  from  multiple  users  and  platforms,  you’re  helping  share  the  message  of  the  university  to  a  broader  audience  than  we  could  ever  reach  by  our  own  devices.

Thanks!
