Social Exclusion

What is social exclusion?IT Is a social disadvantage and relegation to the

fringe of society. Social exclusion is based on whatever is meant by abnormal, for example,

having economic problems, family problems, or belonging to other religions or cultures.

How do we avoid social exclusion?In our high school ‘’Institut Maria Aurelia Capmany’’,we avoid social exclusion in

different ways and work with public entities. We have also created a system to this

problem.

ACADEMICALLY

We offer the school material needed: laptops, books etc.

•Coexistence card: (1º and 2º ESO) •consists in promoting the good behaviour of the kids in the classroom.•If the children have a good behavior they will be rewarded with a school trip.

Free time activities to avoid social exclusion

Academic part: Library in high school, revision classes

Sport activities for free in the school: Feminine and masculine teams.

Barça's foundation made a project with our students during a year and a half. It consisted on working the values with football (respect and companionship)

Free time activities in social entities: (esplai, espai jove, resource centre for the students)
