Ruhrpumpen SO and SOM Pumps

The Ruhrpumpen SO and SOM pumps are single stage, single suction, horizontal, process-type centrifugal pumps. Main applications are water applications, and the SOM has a special configuration for hot service applications.

This pump has stable characteristics. It can run continuously over the full operating range from minimum continuous flow to best efficiency flow. The range is designed for ease of maintenance and inspection, without the casing needing to be removed from the baseplate. This ensures low operating costs with minimum downtimes, therefore maximizing profits. Although standard by design, many features of this pump range can be modified to meet customers specific requirements.

Characteristics

FLANGES.

Flange ratings in accordance with ANSI, DIN, up to 300#. Discharge flange size 6’’ to 16’’.

WEAR RINGS. Removable wear rings in the volute casing and casing cover.

IMPELLER. Single entry, closed, one piece cast impeller dynamically balanced, and with hydraulic balance holes to ensure loads are minimized.

SHAFT SEALING.Fitted with unbalanced single mechanical seal or soft packed stuffing boxes. Pump is provided with sealing or flushing connections, as required.

BEARING BRACkET.Shaft supported by antifriction bearings.

VOLuTE CASING. Heavy duty, high efficiency design. Cast iron, bronze and ductile iron available for SO range; and with Carbon steel for the SOM range.

MECHANICAL SEAL.

When grease lubricated bearings are supplied, an unbalanced seal is fitted. When oil lubricated bearings are supplied, balanced or unbalanced seal options are available.
