We use electricity all day, every day, so it’s very important to use it safely because it can be very dangerous. We invite you to use your artistic talents and creativity to design a poster that helps the PUD teach others how to be safe around electricity. Listed below are some tips to get you started. AllstudentsingradesK-12wholiveinSnohomishCountyoronCamanoIslandareeligibletoenter.

ConTEST RulES

- Yourartworkmustbeanoriginaldesignandbecreatedbyyou(nooutsidehelp,please!).Yourartworkmaybehand-drawn,computer-generated,and/orcreatedwithphotograph(s)(oracombination).Anymedium(crayons,coloredpencils,mark-ers,paints/watercolors,ink,computergraphics,photography,etc.)isacceptable.Stick-onletters,glitter,andstickersarenotpermitted,normayyourartworkcontaincopyrightedimages,photographs,and/orslogans.

- Yourartworkmustbecreatedona8.5”x11”sheetofwhitepaper.- Onlyoneartworksubmissionperstudent.- Acompletedregistrationformmustbeattachedtothebackofyourartwork(seeformbelow).- EntrieswillnotbereturnedandwillbecomethepropertyofSnohomishCountyPUD.- Wereservetherighttoreproduceartworkinwholeorpartandusethenamesofthewinners.- ArtworkmayappearatPUDfacilities,inPUDpublicationsand/oronthePUDwebsitethroughouttheyear.Pressreleases

may also be sent to local newspapers.Any submission that does not meet the above criteria will not be considered.

AwARDS

Upto12entrieswillbeselected,witheachwinningartistreceiving$50.WinnerswillalsoberecognizedatanApril2014PUDBoard of Commissioners meeting.
