ISO 9001:2008 Certification of Ranikhet Express
(15013/15014), validity is 18.06.2011 to 12.06.2014
and ISO 9001:2008 Certification of Sampark kranti
Express (15035/15036), validity is 25.05.2012 upto
24.05.2015 have been obtained. The coaches are being
maintained as per ISO standards.

ISO certification for ART-Bareilly City has been
obtained and the validity of the certification is
05.08.2011 to 31.07.2014.

To provide practical training pertaining to the cleaning
of the coach toilets to the staff (Safaiwalas and
Khallasi), a model of the passenger coach toilet has
been developed at Divisional C&W Training School,
Izatnagar. With the help of this model, it becomes very
easy to explain the procedure of cleaning of various
passenger amenity items as well as commodes and walls
etc to the cleaning staff.

To provide practical training pertaining to measurement
of CASNUB Bogie to the maintenance staff working in
the coaching depots, a CASNUB BOGIE has been
arranged from JUDW and installed at Divisional
Training Centre (C&W), Izatnagar.
5.
Wheel Pushing Device has been developed for re-
railing, derailed coach / wagon at the time of railway
accident, which has been appreciated by
CME/NER/GKP.
6.
A wooden bodied MG wagon after arranging from
Mathura has been renovated and wheel sets and other
under gear components have also been fitted in this
wagon. CME/NER/GKP has appreciated this renovated
wagon during his inspection at Goods Depot Bareilly
City. This MG wagon has been sent to Rail Museum
Gorakhpur.
7.
To impart technical training to the maintenance staff,
“Cut Model of BMBC Air Brake Cylinder” has been
developed at Divisional Training School (C&W),
Izatnagar.
8.
For safe and speedy unloading of Accident Relief &
Restoration equipments from the ART Tool van at the
accident site, Foldable Ramps and doors have been
developed in Tool Van no. 08804 RT of BG ART based
at Coaching Depot Kasganj. This has been appreciated by
CME/NER/GKP and a cash group award of Rs. 2500/-
has been awarded.
9.
To provide better cleanliness standard and to improve
aesthetic look of the coaching depot, dustbins have been
developed from scrap drums. These dustbins have been
fitted at required locations at the coaching depot, Kasganj.
10.
To educate passengers as to not use toilets when train is
standing on the platform, stickers with PVC sheet and
printed from the back side have been developed. These
stickers had been pasted in all MG and BG Coaches with
primary base on depots of IZN Division. (KGM, RMR,
KSJ, PBE & BRY)

To educate passengers pertaining to the rate of eatables,
Stickers printed on Paper and duly laminated, have been
pasted in all MG and BG Coaches with primary base on
depots of IZN Division. (KGM, RMR, KSJ, PBE & BRY)

BG Re-railing ramps have been developed by using
scrap material for re-railing, derailed coaches /wagons
at the accident site. These ramps have been appreciated
by CME/ NER/ GKP.
13.
To avoid falling down of water delivery pipes into the
drains at Kashipur station, clamps having vertical pillars
have been developed. Due to falling down of water
delivery pipes into the drains, it becomes very difficult
to ensure cleanliness as well as make out any leakages.
Thus, with the help of these clamps, hygiene standards
have been improved as well as wastage of water has
been minimized.
14.
Mild steel racks have been developed indigenously for
Kathgodam and Ramnagar for safekeeping of washed
linen (Bedsheets, Blankets, Pillow covers, Hand Towels
etc) from fungus, rodents etc.
15.
After rake placement, for the protection of maintenance
staff working at the washing pits, MS Scotch Blocks
have been developed at Coaching Depot Kathgodam.
16.
For loading / unloading of coach assembled bogies from
/ to the trailer, required for IOH of the BG Coaches,
EOT crane has been commissioned in the Sick line of
Coaching Depot Kasganj. But there was no arrangement
for putting the lifting tackle, because of this it was very
difficult to put down the lifting tackle when not in use.
In this regard a MS stand has been developed by using
scrap material.
