VII. Equipment VII.1. Equipment Details - New Generating Facility.

Progression of Equipment Information Collection The Equipment section details the makeup of the generation system installed at the site.

• Pages 14 – 19 detail equipment addition for New Generating Facilities.

• NOTE: Projects that are adding to existing facilities should skip to page 17 as their process will be slightly different than a new generator. However, the details for each field are provided in Pages 14-19 and should be reviewed before skipping to page 17.

The equipment page consists of 3 different sections, because it is designed to refer to the different parts of the generating facility. Depending on the architecture of the generation project, each generating facility can be made up of one or multiple systems, power modules or AC disconnects:

• System: This represents the portion of the generating facility which develops energy prior to the inverter (e.g. solar panels). If your project has multiple types of panels, submit each of them separately using the ADD SYSTEM button.

• Power Module: This device takes the energy created in the system and transforms it into a form that can be used by the grid (e.g. inverters).

• AC Disconnect: This device allows your project’s generation to be isolated from the PG&E grid without interrupting service to your facility or residence.
