There is a developed system of social and

vocal art studio,
dance studio, modern dance studio, tap dance studio,
intellectual games club and theatre studio. Smolensk
State University also offers intramural sports.

Student life Smolensk State University is
one of the oldest universities in
Russia Smolensk State University was established on November
7th in 1918. At first the university offered degrees in
humanitarian, natural-science and medical educational
fields. In 1930 the university was reorganized into two
independent institutes. This was the beginning of the 70
year history of Smolensk State University as the largest
Teacher Training University in the region. In 2005,
Smolensk State University returned back to being a
classical university.
