Processing collections, finding aids

• McComb Collection: 230 35mm slides

• Jane Simpson Series: GCA Collection• Inventory

-Created box lists to preserve original order of collection

• Created a finding aid for the McComb Collection

• Opportunity to learn DACS

• Culling

Archivists’ Toolkit

• Open source database for managing archival collections

• Two workshops with SI EAD Coordinator-Archivists’ Toolkit Refresher

-Using Steady with Archivists’ Toolkit

• Favretti Finding Aid & McComb Finding Aid-Enter collection and accession data

Public Tagging Initiative

• Manage “Tag-It-Tuesday” activity on Facebook and Twitter

• Users describe images exactly the way they would search for them, which increases the discovery of collections

Blogs and Minutes

• One Minute Reports for Garden History and Design Committee

-Short articles that are included in the GCA bulletin.
